Hello all.

I'm wondering if a business information system would be useful for people playing as industrialists.

During the past two months I'm developing a web application that provides dashboards and advanced analytics on stock replenishment , production forecast and of course sales. My application is based on historical information on purchase and sale orders.

It will use complex algorithms (based on many years of experience mostly instead of maths) , providing pivot table views, user defined parameters, graphs on an own hosted database (Azure).

It will be based on CREST Restful API using Microsoft .NET C#, Entity framework, SQL Server. In the future I plan to provide an OData WebAPI based API .

Since I'm already in development of this application (for real life), I need your opinion if you would like to see something like that for EVE.

Everyone knows that debugging is twice as hard as writing a program in the first place. So if you are as clever as you can be when you write it, how will you ever debug it?

When you get some functionality in a working state I'm happy to compare notes. But do you have any experience as a large scale producer?

Not in EVE but in real life I usually do this analyses for real corporations.
In the real cases I got already a huge load of transactions to work with, where here I'll need voluntary data from users.

I'd suggest releasing a first cut of almost anything as early as possible, as the market dynamics of Eve are much more like a brokered exchange than a retail marketplace. Similarly, due to the low cost of entry and exit, a production business is expressed more in terms of a diversified portfolio complete with semi-automated rebalancing than anything else.
