First I bought eve through steam BEFORE the integration so this may not work for everyone. however i still run through steam because i like the steam overlay for friends and such.

I was still getting the issue when launching through steam. However I have found a workaround for me, that may work for you guys. put eve in offline mode and try again. this allowed me to login.

Again I run through steam however I have a normal eve login, so this workaround may not work for everyone.

I tried this with an account that was bought through Steam last week, and unfortunately I received the same error:

Sorry, but an error occured while processing your request.

Error code: GUID

Made the mistake of validating the game cache. Steam tells me that 25 files failed to validate so I've now got a 1GB download to sit through.

Dunno what'll happen faster - the download or the Steam API coming back online. (I'm in Australia and have bad internet.)

I am having the same issue. open thru steam gives me an error code, usually a new one each time. If i log in by running eve.exe, I can get thru but it goes to character creation as if i have a new account. The response i received from support didnt really explain anything either:

Regrettably, we in Customer Support will not be able to provide assistance with the technical issues we are currently experiencing that have been preventing players from accessing their EVE accounts through Steam. You will not be able to access an account registered through Steam without logging in through the Steam client, I'm afraid.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we can assure you that this will be resolved as soon as possible. I am sorry that we will not be able to provide any further assistance but we apologize for the delay and we appreciate your patience.

Im a new player, so i really havent been doin much but mining and whatnot. Hopefully they will have this resolved soon... and if not, will we be compensated???
