Scientific Study Requests Samples

Location: Aufay
Sinq Laison region

The small drone broke it's jump cloak and lazily drifted for the Stargate. Skittering along the surface, it made a beeline for the fluid router, where it would then attach itself to the bulkhead and begin transmitting it's message before security sentries removed it:

Scientific Survey Requesting Samples

"Scientific study in human genetics requests DNA samples from baseline and capsuleer sources of all bloodlines.

Baseliners can expect to receive a 5 ISK compensation for their donation.

Special reward incentives for authenticated Jove or "Sleeper" samples.

Samples can be dropped in box 3245-A2, Hangar C, Federal Intelligence Office: Planet V, Moon 1, of the Aufay system via contract to "Xiaohui".

Privacy guaranteed.

This message is a recording and set to repeat at daily intervals.

Thank you.

Messaged terminated."

Captain Xiaohui,

Please forgive me if that's not the correct rank/honorific.

Might I inquire as to the nature of your study? That you mention an interest in Jove and/or "Sleeper" samples is intriguing.

What could one expect as compensation for non-baseline DNA samples? As a capsuleer whose genes were designed by one of the best labs in the State, I would like to think that my DNA is far superior than the 5 ISK bargain bin.

And I would need a lot more incentive to haul from Black Rise out to Aufay.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

An Achuran woman's face appears on the screen. There seems to be interference, and her image appears grainy and unstable. The audio feed is slightly out of sync with her lip movements, and comes through choppy.

"Recie--- ---- --ssage. ----- you for your interest. My st--y deals with cer---- -enetic ailments amo---- -aseliners, and possible --sk factors for caps--ers. - ---- ---- -esearching possibility of core genetic --rus leading to instability -- --- --------- --oning process. --------- analysis of blood----- imperative" screeeech click click click screech click click "--proving data fidelity. -ove seem to have ------enced similar --oblem, ------------ --rious ---- implic-tions for cap--eers."

"Baseliners" the audio feed cuts out and the video appears to loop for several seconds before a man's stern face appears. Glaring at the screen for a moment, he appears to reach off-screen, and then the feed cuts out entirely.

As the deposit box is located in FIO station, I strongly discourage anyone participating in such endeavor.

Any work with Federation or for Federation, is the work against the State.
Those, who work for benefit of the Federation are enemies, supporting criminal regime, and shall be eliminated without mercy and regret as threats to humanity and civilization.

Glory to the State!

Like this attitude of yours is not against humanity. You actively provoking people to stop helping the initiative, just because the help container stays in a Federation Station....

I see the baseliner economy doing strange things in the near future.

And once again a certain person ensures that a project will be incredibly well-supported simply by publicly voicing their disapproval of it.

Would you prefer a standard sample? I'm willing to donate, but my DNA's been tampered with a great deal. Would that be a problem?

If you can read this transmission:

I or one of my associates will deliver some samples to you in the very near future. Is is possible to boost your gain? Your connection seems a bit off.

Who was the person at the end of your transmission?

Woah, five kredits? Subject quality is obviously not essential.

Come back with a one billion offer and you can have an entire corpse, or a mouth swab, your choice.

Otherwise my DNA is mine. This whole thing seems a lil creepy yo.

I love science! I did recently adquire about... Two thousand subjects from a good friend of mine. Sure a few were dismissed from my study but I still have their blood samples.

For the good of science, expect a crate of blood samples! It is the season of giving afterall!

I should point out that the samples donated by me will not be mine as they are still under copyright.

Huh, why are you even telling me that??

Is that a threat? Are you sayin' like, you're gonna come and take mine, or something?

This is getting even creeeepier yo....

Not a threat.

My legal department informed me that I have to disclose that there is an active copyright to certain strands of dna in my genetic make up.

Yes, this is certainly taking a turn for the weird.

Correction:
Federal INTELLIGENCE station.

It means all information passing through it will be screened by these subhumans, including results of research. Maybe even gallenteans will know about research results faster than those, who conduct them.

You have a whole legal department?

Good idea to withhold in anycase. I can already foresee all IGS regulars being cloned from this initiative ... and replaced.

I'm somewhat of a biomass dealer, meaning that I scoop up capsuleer corpses and sell them.
Are you interested in using these corpses for DNA samples, and if so, how much are you willing to pay for each corpse?
