Yes, I think these systems weren't chosen randomly. I heard, that the war between Federation and State was just because Federation wanted Caldari's Black Rise region for themselves.

There were other factors, but the crimes perpetrated by the Federation against the colonies in Black Rise were certainly significant.

And ongoing. With Federation Human Containment Facilities common throughout Black Rise housing tortured Caldari prisoners, there is little hope for true reconciliation. War provides no solution while diplomacy does little to raise awareness. Neither provides anything beyond more fuel for antagonism on both sides. The Federation are brutal hypocrites, and some Caldari are shameful in seeming to have learned little from their own historic folklore :

The men gazed at each other trying to distinguish brothers from enemies, yet the blood covering their faces made all of them alike.

Not the right thread for this I know, but since the matter is mentioned, I guess I couldn't stay quiet. It's been bothering me for some time now.

Pilot Schmidt I do indeed "walk the walk" every day and have for the past 7 plus years. I've flown as escort for RSS freighters that covertly moved over a million Matari out of the Mandate. I've personally transported thousands of newly freed individuals out of imperial space. I've rescued hundreds of poor souls who were abandoned in space and left for dead in jet cans and cargo containers. I run Gradient's repatriation program that rescues, feeds, houses, trains and cares for those newly freed. I personally employ over a hundred freed slaves.

I think you missed the point of my original post. I was calling into question the motives of the empress when she issued her decree. I feel strongly that it was done as a political move in order to generate positive PR. Kernher and her ilk can crow all they want about supposed Republican "hypocrisy" but at the end of the day it is the Amarr who are the true hypocrites.

When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around.

Have you ever ever asked anyone of them if they want to be transported away?
Or you steal peoples before they got chance to be educated, coercing them to live in the darkness without His Light?..

It certainly was a political move. Ms. Kernher's original point still stands though.

Having had some experience of this program and the mass transport also referred to I can confirm that, yes, people are consulted on their wishes. Also bear in mind a lot of ex-slaves are used to having much of their daily routine organised for them. Accordingly some can be uncertain as to what, exactly, those wishes are. On this last point I also speak from personal experience of some of the people my mother was caring for. She worked for Urban Management in their resettlement and re-education division before the militia wars started.

What was it you called it when speaking to me and mine? Stockholm syndrome?

Despite this is depraving of people of the Right education and showing them His Light, I have heard rather different stories about separated families and forcibly "liberated" slaves, about oppressing faithful minmatars in Republic.

There could be cases of both good and bad treatment of minmatar population in the Empire by Shakorites, but who they are to decide their fate? Gods?..

You remind me of blasphemer Nauplius, who has his own notion of what to do with minmatars.

Can you both just leave them alone, let them know the God and let God to decide their fate?..

Great, back six years ago she releases a hundreds of millions of slaves that were 'educated' in Amarr, raised in Amarr, and were there for generations fully knowing they would never actually leave the devil that they know. Now, some houses are talking about going on another reclaiming in their huddled mass, King Khanid has that gallente pop star he loves so much, and more.

Could you all, Amarrians, go and just attack the sleeper drones like you tried to do with the Jove already? Maybe that will knock some more sense into your lot.

Edit: I mean...congrats and happy Anniversary!

You are aware that the vast majority of slaves are going to be indoctrinated to a greater or lesser extent, yes? Are you saying you don't want those ones?

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Freedom fighters do want them, but there are a portion in and outside of the Republic who would rather reclaim them by force than accept handouts from the Empire. Ushra'Khan's bounty on Prime Minister Midular is only one example of the intolerance and inability to see clearly that's present in many radicals . Pride is a hard thing to battle.
