Gaint Headaches From Graphic Changes

No joke. Literal headaches that require pain killers to knock out.

When I first started playing Eve I ran into a problem not expected. The graphics along with how the UI is viewed had the unfortunate side effect of triggering my vertigo. I could only play for about 30-45 minutes at a time until that settled down and longer playtimes could happen without me falling out of my computer chair when I warped ----> thataway! from gravity going with my ship and trying to dump me on the floor.

I got used to it, took about 3 weeks but it was possible.

Now this Rhea graphic update.

It's beautiful. Amazing. Startlingly wonderful.

It's also giving me massive cluster headaches.

There's got to be some setting, in either the level of fade, transparency, or the new color themes, where I can't find it just yet, that will set those tiny itty bitty drop down tabs to a level of solidity and color where I can see them without sticking my nose to my monitor. Where is this setting, please?? If I drop the resolution on my monitor so everything is larger, then I can't see squat around me while undocked for semi-safety. Goodness knows I can't afford a bigger screen right now so I could do that and still see around my ship. Where is this hidden right in front of my eyes tab or slider bar that will fix this inability to make things out due to color and transparency so I can see my game without blasting holes in my brains from headaches?

I'm learning the new look to NeoCon icons, trying to not get blinded by lens flare (Rhea made that problem worse, ouchie CCP Lens flare, seriously? In your bag of cool toys you can't find a lens filter?), and not get ganked while doing this. Can someone help so I can see the drop down tabs in a way so I don't have to wipe down my screen from nose smudges?

Any Helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

My launcher is broken at the moment so I can't give you the exact location where this is but in the settings menu there is a box that triggers the whole blur effect on the window panes. I think it is under the General Setting tab but could be wrong.

If you turn this off than it might help reduce the headaches. Also avoids you having to make all the boxes solid and cluttering the screen.

Edit: I am not sure about increasing the sizes of the menu drop-down things though. I'll have a look later when I can log on and see if there is a work-around.

Thanks! I did find that blur effect choice and turned it off. That's helping somewhat with the headaches from Hek. Now it's work on making the drop down tabs large enough to see without a magnifying glass being added to my computer desk supplies.

I wonder at this point, does everyone designing at CCP have either perfect 20/20 vision, or the biggest bestest screens that I'll never be able to find, let alone afford. That would explain how they didn't think the amazing shrinking drop down selection might cause some issues out here in the end use real-ish world.

Not sure if you've tried this, but settings -> Display -> UI Scaling to 125% might help a bit.
