would the vengeance be overpowered with a 15 m3 drone bay?

The T2 Amarr khanid assault frigate? I'd personally like to see drones on this boat as the Rockets to me feel rather weak =(
Any more experienced players have any input on whether or not this ship would be OP with 15 drone bandwidth?

I have not flown a vengeance for a long time but based on my recollection I think it probably would be overpowered.

Veng has a pretty awesome tank... 7.5k-10k EHP is not outside the realms of possibility, or a pretty serious active armour tank. It also has interchangeable damage types with rockets and a fairly decent engagement envelope if you utilise faction and Tech II ammo.

I think adding 3 x warrior II or ecm drones to that mix would ease it over the edge into overpowered... Blink

Yes it would. The Vengeance can already do almost 200 dps with 1 damage mod that can be applied anywhere in scram range while still being very tanky with selectable damage type. Vengeance is fine as it is, giving it 3 drones is unnecessary.

Also the Vengeance has alot of EHP, just a DCU brings it up to 7k not including a rep, plate or resists.

Here's a lowsec fit, you'd want an MWD for null obviously. 215dps with heat, 182 without. 7.7k EHP + 7.3 from a mag of paste from the AAR. It's abit slow but you can project your damage within scram range easily and the tank is phenomenal. Also has excellent cap and can run the neut for a very long tie.

As a side note while I have an open thread. Does anyone have any input on vengeance performance against other frigates and general damage projection with rockets? Maybe I am flying it wrong but I feel like I'm too easy to kite if I want to fit dps and tank. Is this the method of balancing the strong active repair + resist screen on the vengeance?

should be able to shoehorn a MWD onto Dato's fit, MWD + scram and web works pretty well with rocket ships since transversal is not a factor.

Yeap it has the fitting for MWD. I use AB in lowsec FW mostly because other ab/scram/web brawlers will very easily be able to disengage you if they're losing but with some clutch heat on the AB/scram at the right time you can prevent that but MWD is definitely solid.

About being easy to kite that's a general problem with any short-range weapon AF, because they are slow it's difficult for you to slingshot kiters but definitely possible, you'd need an MWD for that though. Practice slingshotting kiters if you plan on flying this type of fit.
