In-Game Events and Gatherings

The Iron Man League. One capsuleer holds the title of 'Iron Man' and they will defend this title, 1v1, against any and all challengers. Whoever defeats them in fair combat will cast them down and claim the 'Iron Man' title for their own – to repeat the cycle and face their own challengers.

I want to challenge the Iron Man, what do I do?

Send an in-game mail to me and the current Iron Man stating your intent to challenge them. The two of you will decide on the date, time, location, ship and fits. Once that is agreed, send me the 30 million ISK challenger fee.

Your challenge will consist of a 1v1 duel against the Iron Man. The winner is the first to destroy the opponents ship (no podding). I will attend as a referee and record the battle (unless you wish to fight in null sec, in which case alternative arrangements may need to be made). Either I, or a can, will constitute the centre of the arena which will be something like 30km radius.

You can fly any class of ship – both of you must fly the same class (destroyer, cruiser, T2 frig etc.) and you must both agree on this. There are no ship fitting limits (unless you both agree on these). You do not have to reveal your specific ship or fit beforehand.

If you lose:
- Your 30 million ISK fee is split thus: 3 million to me, 13.5 million to the Iron Man, 13.5 million to the Victor's purse.
- You can then re-challenge the Iron Man after a short break (to be determined - something like 3 days).

If you win:
- You claim between 80-100% of the victors purse (the remainder will be used to establish your victor's purse)
- You claim the title of 'Iron Man'.

You then await mails from challengers and between us we arrange the duel. Once all is agreed you merely have to turn up at the right time and place and do your thing.

When you win you will claim your stake in the challenger fee (13.5 million isk).

When you lose you will relinquish the title of 'Iron Man'. You may not challenge your vanquisher within their first 10 matches (subject to change).

As there is no current Iron Man, I am looking for two volunteers to duel. Both will put up 30 million ISK. The winner will become the first Iron man and claim their prize (including a 30 million victor's purse put up by me and their original 30 million).

Not sure if the prize per fight is too small, but then the challenger fee would need to be higher. Would people pay 50 mill?
