Didn't have a lot of time to test, but first wanted to say that this expansion look essentially good. I'm just a bit (no, A LOT) disapointed withe the disappearing of the torps bonuses on the Naga. I skill to torps V for this ship (not a big bombers fan, nor using BS), and at least I would like to have been informed before the patch notes. Seems that I will still use Drakes for years to come.Cry
I was very excited about the tier 3 BC's, and that bad surprise kind of blew the pleasure of the other improvements, wich are pretty sexy (especially new nebulaes and some UI improvement).
Oh and also, GIVE ME THE PIN WINDOWS OPTION BACK !!! tnx Blink

Well done on Crucible CCP Big smile

I'd especially like to pay my complements to the new Font designer. As a player in rapidly advancing middle age its a sight for sore eyes.

However there is one issue I would like to raise and thats the new warp effect. After only a few minutes of watching this the nausea it induces is quite unpleasant. Indeed it seems just about perfectly tuned to trigger a migraine Ugh.

Now speaking to others I know I'm not alone in this and so would ask if you could please consider adding a graphics option to turn the warp effect down or off by say >> 90%.

Truly O R E S U M ! work, CCP. Cool

You've had your trials and tribulations and in this crucible you have yet found strength and determination to forge forward.

I am glad to add my voice of encouragement, thanks and congratulations to the plaudits of the pundits. Keep up the good work, and suffer not the slings and arrows that do not aim at constructive targets.

Looking forward to the next expansion!

Every time I dock up my graphics go all weird and everything starts flickering in a red colour (I'm in ship hangar mode). I tried some setting changes but that doesn't seem to help.

Agreed.

Loving the graphics, the trails, the font and EVE looks cool. One thing, just to make people laugh, you can click on the jump button from the other side of the system and nearly jumped into EC with my Rattler. Talk about panic; never spammed ctrl & space so fast! Didn't take long to get use to it and now love that button - one stop warp and jump.

I can imagine there will be a few more "lemming" calls in fleets for a time :)

Ouch! The sun is burning my eyes!!! It was already WAY too bright before the patch. Now it is blistering. It doesn't help that every time I undock or jump the sun is automatically in my face. Is this really necessary?

I noticed the popup for downtime was blocking interaction with the overview. Couldn't target.

I would love to be able to scale the ui to any (reasonable) percentage.
90% is a bit too small for me, and 100% a bit too large... At least make an option for 95%

Font are ok but scaling is inconsistent don't feel right, there is huge difference how right click menu look compare with overview items.

I very much like Crucible.

I have two things though.

The window for market orders... When you type in a price when putting up an order, there isn't quite space enough for the digits - it makes it a bit hard to see what you're typing - could you add perhaps a few more characters room on there?

I am also having graphics bugs and trouble now - my system looks like it's overheating, but my monitoring programmes say it isn't - flickering, lock-ups and my mouse turning into a big blob of distorted colours. Was the same for a while with Tyrannis or Apocrypha. Cannot identify a local problem or recreate it in other games.

The look of things and the features are cool - and on behalf of my gallentean friends: Thanks for the hybrid gun tweaks - as one pilot said yesterday "Hey! Today I feel sorry for everyone non-Gallente!"

Crucible bug report; some issues which I have been having since the launch.

ii) Whilst in space; although I have all ships, stargates, collidable structures etc enabled on my overview (they are all visible in the overview column) I am not able to see these items in space (they are not identfiable with their relative tags). The only things which I can see in space are mission npc's.
Note: This only happens on one of my accounts.

It sounds like you need to look at your brackets, which are an additional overview setting option. You can "Show all brackets". If this doesn't work -- your first overview tab will sometimes malfunction -- you can create a second overview tab, select all your items you wish to see with icons in space, save this as a "bracket profile" and then load it into your overview tab number 2 along with of course the normal overview settings you use for missions.

I hope this fixes it for you, and my apologies if the answer is too basic. GL.

The Crucible expansion looks very nice indeed after one day of playtime:

So far:

Pros:

1. Nebulae, starry sky and warp effect with the trails, very nice
2. Ships look much better now
3. Combat more enjoyable with all new features
4. New CQs: stylish, particularly the Amarrian with the status

Cons:

1. New fonts: I preferred the old sci-fi style, gave a more futuristic impression (font size is not yet a matter to me)
2. The new old icons for turrets(of any kind): please bring back the old new ones(or some improved version of them) as soon as possible. As an industrialist i prefer to manufacture real weapons not children's toys(only turn off in this expansion)
3. The new sound effect for mining I'm not entirely convinced about. I still miss the sound of ore being extracted from rocks.

But overall an improved gamer experience with this expansion so far for me(just please change the turret icons)

I like Crucible. Space is looking gorgeous now. Corp bookmarks are great. Here are my 50 cent:

Jump Gates
are looking like completely bathed in too bright ambient light, makes it look flat.

Scanning with probes 1:
There's something fishy going. I don't know if the reason are the new filter settings. I was able to scan down everything in our wh with 8 probes good skills and superiour equipment by: Scan, step down on step scan range, move probes together to keep intersecting coverage of scan space. Now this behaves strange: Sometimes signatures just disappear, and I really had my filters all checked. I even had this phenomena when I used the 'Show All' filter.

Scanning with probes 2:
The mouse look feels strange, not like the camera when moving around your own ship. I noticed the movement speed was very high on Sisi before Crucible hit TQ, now it's wrong in the other direction, feels gooey.

PI new taxes 1:
Please get your information management straight, so many people(me included) haven't been aware of the new base prices. This was very unpleasent.

PI new taxes 2:
You adjusted the baseline prices for the various PI products, but are you going to keep it updated? And if yes, how often? It may end in a spiral of sky rocketing prices, since the taxes will be handed to the customers.

Corp bookmarks/locations
The polling mechanism for new bookmarks/locations should be reduced. Hey you guys send a packet to the client when his/her wallet changes, so why not update the bookmarks the same way? Too much traffic with too many members in a corp?

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

OK, first my apologies to CCP for failing to read the entire release notes before spewing my thoughts here. Oops
I think overall things are really not as bad as what I first thought. Allthough I rather not would have seen the change for Hordes in drone space, but I may assume there is a logit reason for it.
Anyway thanks for the great job on this release.

Again my apologies for venting before reading the release notes.

Some nice gameplay upgrades, but no promised Faction Warfare upgrade, no promised new EW drones.
Half way hibrid fix, ugly font type.

Nice work CCP, i love all of that upgrade, great GFX improvement (what are now, far over SWTOR to my opinion ...)

Please stay on that way, now it's the PvP, and mainly the small scale encounters that need some love
