Macbook Pro Retina 13" Mid 2014. 8 gigs i5 running on Yosemite.

Before Rhea I had an average of 60 fps and the mac was working alright, fans were making noise but nothing extraordinary (most settings set to Medium)

.....today my average is 45 fps and the mac sounds like it's preparing for warp, the fans are going crazy.

I'm experiencing the same issue here, except on a rMBP 15" i7 with 8 gigs. Not sure what made the difference, but hopefully there's some kind of clarification with what's going on here.

This is my experience as well, 15" Macbook Pro (Early 2011) running Mavericks 10.9.5.

Before Rhea, my Mac could run Medium/High without melting through the desk, only chugging a bit when big effects are present.

Now, even with everything on low and everything else turned off, the CPU hovers around 85 degrees and the GPU around 75. :(

Don't think there is any chance they will fix it soon :(

Maybe I am wrong, but I am kinda scared playing and damaging the computer.

Since the update, 50% of the time I can't even start the game - I click PLAY on the launcher and just get a black screen and endless beachball until I force-reboot the machine.

It's become so unreliable that now I boot into Windows and play on that client instead. Feck you very much, CCP.

Everyone with graphics speed issues: Try turning off window blur.
