ADD COLOR TO THE NEW ICONS !!!!!!!

They are very dull and boring. Make the icons on the station service panel bigger and add color to those as well. Color schemes are nice but give the sliders back. Why take away customization away from players?

The background changing colors on the UI windows in space as I move the camera around is way to distracting for me to play, if it doesn't change or an option isn't made to set one color for the background and have it stay that color, I'll be forced to stop playing

The UI over all is fine, just the color change in the background from light black to solid black as the camera moves is no good for me

You failed to target nothing! ≡v≡ online ... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

To be honest, I wouldn't :)

But then you probably would have had the sense not to introduce this load of cr4p in the first place.

CCP CCP CCP ......time to listen !

To sum up....

Replace the Icon over your ship after broadcasting for reps
Stop the background window colour changing
Stop the whole background dimming when a dialog box is displayed
Stop the targeting crosshairs just staying static in space
Stop the module icons randomly moving from right to left when decloaking, after session change, closing the PI window etc.
Fix the problem creating keyboard shortcuts
Fix the crappy colours on most of the ships
Fix the channel blink issue where hovering over a tab clears all blinks

Sometime before everyone dies of old age would be good.

Oh, and way to go on fixing the most burning issues first..........

From yesterdays patch notes: "Our tailors have fixed tucking problems on some male pants"

Awesome stuff

...the chat channel blink is ok, just nice and discreet, as it needs to be.

...THE NEW NEOCOM ICONS NEED COLOR, discreet but help.. MY EYES CATCH COLOR FIRST AND FORM LATER

...over all nice and sleek UI, it feels good and responsive... nice blur effect behind windows in space

...no need for background window color changing

...no need for background dimming at dialogue box

STAR MAP:
-i need to see clearly the names of the systems i am going through on my route

-the map should be able to show me what i look for, not whats in between

-i need be able to select the sensitivity of the zooming (its too agressive now for me)

IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF I COULD AUTOMATE THE CAMERA TO FRAME/FOCUS ON EACH SYSTEM OF MY ROUTE SUCCESSIVELY AS I PRESS SPACE (as if i was successively selecting the system names on my route)

-why dont i see the name of the system when i "select current system"?

-if i designate a route thats all i need to know, think of the GPS computers in cars, you dont want to see the whole map of the world all the time just because it looks amazing. When i am in a fight and improvising tactics, i want efficiency so a Dotlan style map cannot be beaten imo. Do a subway version of the star map, u know what i mean, subway map is for dummy tourists so they dont panic and get lost! And there is always an indicator showing the route, stats, etc... Like a dotlan star map with more customisation possible...

-DONT BE HOOKED ON YOUR 3D STAR MAP, IF ITS NOT PRACTICAL THEN NOBODY WILL USE IT, GO FOR PRACTICALLY NOT SENTIMENTALITY OVER A OLD CONCEPT OF YOUR BE READY TO DUMP ANYTHING THATS IN THE WAY OF YOUR OWN FUTURE CCP!

-STILL NO SHORTCUT FOR D-SCAN????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

-STILL DIDNT CHANGE THE LAME TACTICAL OVERLAY???????????????????????????????????????????????

Thanks and good luck CCP! Keep going, keep it coming!

On the devs listening though.. I really am hoping they hear us, although it would be nice to see a blue post, if only to show that they didn't just make this post to make us vent in a specific place.
Although seeing as how negative this thread is, I'm not surprised they are hiding.

In the end, we need to give them a chance to fix this though, fuming at them wont really increase the chances of them joining the conversation.

Think of it this way, would YOU join a conversation where you would probably get yelled at immediately upon showing your face?
To be honest, I wouldn't :)

Hmm... if I count the over 1000 posts in both feedback threads to this topic on SiSi I would say the developers have a very selective hearing... ;)

Which is still a very small but vocal minority. Just because we have a lot of whiny little plebs on the forums doesn't mean they HAVE TO LSITEN RIGHT NOW OTHERWISE I WILL CRY AND CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!

After a couple of days I find the UI ok, To be honest I'm that old, already I can't remember the old one.........

My two cents. Haven't read the rest, much. Just wanna say congrats and thanks to CCP for an awesome patch. The game looks fresh and new. Ships look great. I'm so impressed. Lovin it. Thanks dudes. PS. when will you remodel the Myrm - one too many turret hardpoints continues to annoy me - and I want to fly it coz it actually looks more beautiful than ever, apart from the afore mentioned extraneous hull feature.

Whilst I do think that Gallente ships are a bit on the shiny side, I am so pleased with with the ship visual appearances overall, that I promise not to whinge (as I frequently do) that the New Model Dominix has not yet been introduced.

The 'old' Dominx is fine now.

Well done CCP

No! No you should not. those that fly Gallente ships are being viewed in their true form...let those neighsayers state that the system is terrible when the Divine Light has shown them their folly, training themselves to fly ships that hiss at the light.. clawing at it with futility..

CCP FEEDBACK:
Stop the 6-week update schedule. I hate it. You can't even fix the last update's bugs before the next disaster. STOP. If I wanted a barely usable and overly flamboyant UI, I would buy an iPad.

STOP. This is your feedback. I hate everything you're doing, and playing this game just pisses me off now. In a mere 6 months, you have turned a dedicated EVE fan (and yearly subscriber) into a CCP-hating troll. And I'm not the only one. If you continue to ignore us, we will eventually start ignoring you.

So, there are at least two of you Smile

I think (and I am probably not the only one) that the new update cycle is the best thing to happen to Eve in a very long time.

Well done CCP.

A friendly reminder to review our Forum Rules before posting. Specifically:

Quote:
2. Be respectful toward others at all times.

The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Forum users are expected to be courteous when disagreeing with others.

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

4. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not conductive to the community spirit that CCP promotes. As such, this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive, and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

23. Post constructively.

Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.

I have removed rule breaking posts. Everyone have a happy (and constructive!) Friday!

The concept behind it is great.....Unfortunately, its implementation is awful.

There is not enough time to fix the issues caused by one patch before the next one hits. As a result we are left with a legacy of half-finished, "features" riddled with problems which never get fixed.

The longer it goes on, the worse it will get with EVE becoming a game full of bugs and issues more than it is now.

We were promised an "iteration" on the tooltip fiasco, to provide separate sliders different types of tooltips. That was 6 months ago and we all really know that it's never going to happen.

Sadly CCP are fixated with producing eye-candy to satisfy the WOW imports and their fanboi's at the expense of creating a game that actually works.

CCP have said that with the new "exciting" release schedule there is no longer a rush to bring things in until they are ready. Clearly that is complete bollox. The Sisi forum was full of people pointing out issues with the UI & ship colours, but they brought it in anyway.

It would be nice if CCP actually practiced what they preached, instead of feeding people a load of horse sh!t, hoping that people are dopey enough to believe it. Unfortunately, some are.

CCP Philosophy: If it works, break it. If it’s broken, leave it alone and break something else.

CCP,

Thank you for Rhea, in addition to your ongoing daily efforts to enhance and improve EVE. Although it appears some pilots are experiencing issues with the update (and I hope that their EVE issues are resolved quickly!)...I am not one of them.

I took a two year hiatus from EVE and recently returned. I'm glad that I did. It is just as I remembered it...only better. I've always been fascinated by most things related to space...and since my chances of actually experiencing it are probably nil, EVE is the next best thing...and a fitting one at that.

I do have fairly extensive experience with other MMORPG's...and some of it was not good. In general, I find EVE players to be more mature (except for a very small minority), and the tech support and customer care to be superb. No game, simulation, etc. is perfect...too many variables in spite of the best efforts of everyone at CCP. My experience with CCP has been exemplary, and I have every confidence that it will continue to be so.

So...CCP...please accept my virtual pat on the back. Keep up the great work!

Modal windows? CCP are you serious right now? How could you possibly think this was a good idea?

How could you be so bad at UI design for a video game that you think taking control away from players is important for a window that says that you don't have room for something in cargo?

Yeah, that's a very good point, I need to be careful with that now.. shouldn't have to though...

This screenshot also underlines another issue, the old interface, when you had several windows on top of each other, it was VERY clear what was on top, this interface, becomes a mess rather fast, and I really cant understand the borders clearly.

The top turret hardpoints on the Rokh and its skin variants are messed up. Maybe that issue existed even since Phoebe – I haven't been playing much, and I couldn't find anything in the patchnotes since then, so I guess the alteration wasn't intentional. Please change them back to their original position – the guns should be where the hull was clearly designed around.

Thanks and cheers!

I suspect this bug is left over from Phoebe, but I can't sell directly to someone's buy order if I have no order slots left. I'm a station trader and my order slots are all used. To be clear: I can *buy* immediately from someone's sell orders, but I cannot sell to someone's buy order if I have no order slots available.
