New ui is very very very... upsetting to me. Looks bad, actually seems to slightly lag my machines (and I havent even tried loading multiple clients yet.)

Biggest gripe - WTF Y U NO LEAVE NEOCOM ALONE?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

Seriously, idk wtf any of my buttons are anymore, and that RLY aggravates me. Ive got to relearn all of them. GRRR

- The new ship look.

Personal opinion: I don't like how the ships look now. they look, insert role-play here, unrealistic.

They look brandnew, freshly painted plastic molded kits you can buy in a store and glue together.
Pretty sure I ran over Scotty the docking manager a few times in the past, where are the stains his corps left behind on my hull?

Also metal looks, well not like metal. Way to wide opacity, me thinks.

- UI changes.

Selected item window, inactive icons are way too dark. Love to see a clear divider there between the buttons.

Station icons are way, as in way, too small. Also this 'military button look' inside a station takes away mood.
Suggest you add colors to them. Think of them as in station shops. Advertize (with) them.

Would love to have a separate transparency option for pinned and unpinned windows.

Edit2: Transparency of pop-up windows like show info could be far less.
I'm nearing 50 my eyes have trouble keeping up. :/

Edit3: hiding the slider bar slider is bad, m'kay?



Other then that I must say sofar, good job!

I think T3 destroyers are going to turn out to be the worst mistake. Gangs of them are going to be blowing up so many ships with little consequence.

Did they not learn from Tier 3 battle cruisers?

This might sound like a fair selection but think of all the other ships and classes that are going to be relegated to useless?

All in all.. a GREAT job.. however I do have one comment about the new ship graphics.. they're all too SHINY! it makes them look LESS real.. the most obvious example. Look at the exhaust ports on ANY ship.. they look like a plastic model more than the exhaust of a real ship.

other than that, i'm enjoying the expansion.

I like the clean new look of the windows. But that neocom I will not get used too or like. I've said it since I first saw it: Facebook anyone???


Seraph's Verdict: 7/10

New UI windows: Clean and nice.

Boring 'Facebook' sidebar: Bad.

No ability to make my UI Orange (like before): Very bad!!!

Shiny new ship lighting: Great.

Raven Navy Issue not having the blue colouring on it anymore: Bad.

New map: Take my money CCP...

(Really, really do not like that sidebar)

I want my rattlesnake back. I want the beautiful bronze-to-grey effect coloring back and not this matte desert camouflage! (Also applies to all other guristas ships, the gecko drone and the vindicator...)

And I still can't tell which way the blackbird is supposed to fly unless I see the thrusters active.

New GUI... well... I can live with that. Gimme 1-2 days and I will be used to it.

T3 destroyer only for amarr and the other three will be released on after another later? Not like I'd fly it, but it still sounds unfair to me. Not everyone is a gunnery- (and especially laser-)skilled armortank pilot

Just realized how many people are complaining in this thread.

Admittedly some of these changes are gonna take some time to adapt to, but that doesn't mean I don't really, really like them.

People don't like change and they come here to *****.

Big smile Oh dear god! There is a "settings" button in the Main Menu now?! I missed this BADLY, when playing without Keyboard! (Or was I just blind the entire time...?) This improves playability on a TabletPC big time. Usually it's small things like this that make or brake software/games on a tablet.

And one more negative note: I'm playing on lowest settings, and this has never been eye candy. But now with the rending update the ships look worse. But I'm just assuming that the whole ship rending is WIP for now. Just don't forget the people with minimum specs :)
Actually... I just set Shader to Medium. Looks lightyears better, and so far seems not to have any impact on performance on my PC... oO

STOP whit the force feeding of the new ui ****!!!!

first u forced us to have that stuff @ hud, and now u have just taken a hose o forced it down our throats whit all the new ui coulor stuff, and the new buttons..

there is no reason to forse us to have this junk, so just add a button "use old ui"

I'm sorry but the new UI sucks. I'm partly color blind, and it's confusing as hell for me. Also I really, really HATE that you just see through windows. I liked my overview, selected item etc. black, but now I just see though them no matter what.

Jesus christ, CCP. Why do you do this to me. You screw up things no one has even been complaining about. The old UI was great. Why the change? To make the game look more futuristic, or something like that? It's crap.

My first impression. Not good.

And after 10 minutes of playing, my eyes hurt from it. Thank you CCP.

I won't be able to play this game anymore unless you do something about it.

Channel flash is difficult to see.

Actually can confirm that new ui is causing headaches. been playing with it around 20 mins now and ive got a headache coming on.

They do blink but it's very faint, I only notice it when I'm specifically looking for the blink.


Have to say I'm not a great fan of the new UI but I shall have to deal with it as normal.
