The Rhea release has been successful deployed!

The Rhea release brings a long list of changes to the world of EVE Online, including User Interface updates, new exploration content, 101 new wormhole systems, manual flight control, changes to cloning mechanics and a new opt in beta starmap that we're looking to gather feedback on!

For more information on the Rhea release, and to see a full list of features, take a look at the Rhea release page, and read more about what's coming in CCP Seagull's "Coming to EVE in the Rhea release" dev blog. For a full and detailed breakdown of changes please see the patch notes for Rhea.

Please provide general feedback in this thread.

For issues relating to the Rhea release, please use this thread, and for issues relating to the Macintosh client, please use this thread.

Also check out the Rhea FAQ!

Will we ever see this ban lifted, IMO in many cases t3 ships are rarely in a better spot for 3/10-4/10 complexes than; Ishtars, Gilas, Stratios, VNI, and most HACs.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

the new lighting and UI are awesome, however the new lighting shows that the ship models are aging, maybe a HD pack or something that we can opt into if our comps can run it? i'd like eve to be as beautiful as it can be.

So, the Blood Raider 'Outlaw' outfit was what I was looking forward to the most. And it's not on the NES. I am waiting to give you money, but I can't, which is quite saddening.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing on the patches! Can't wait to test out the manual control, and have a look at the new map.

EDIT 1:

Can confirm, manual control and the keymapping for it is very buggy. Also, HOLY CRAP, GRAPHICAL GLITCHES, THEY'RE KILLING MY GPU WHEN I GO RATTING.

As already stated a couple thousand times in a couple of threads in Test server feedback forum, this PBR should have be accompanied with adapted textures for it.

Because tities .

"Assembled ships in a Ship Maintenance Bay will now appear in the wreck if the container ship is destroyed (following the normal loot dropped/destroyed probability). These surviving ships can then be manually ejected in to space to be piloted away."

Cool! Didn't know this was being implemented v0v

Looks like the new GUI is trying to be a 90s game that is in turn attempting to appear futuristic.

I would like an opt out option to use the old GUI.

Edit: I thought that I would start getting used to it. It only gets worse the more I try to do different things. It is like nails on a chalk board getting louder all the time.

Edit 2: The lack of colour on the buttons makes quick selection far less intuitive.

The blink on the chat tabs is far too easy to ignore. I guess I am going to have to default to Intel channels and be less social.

Edit 3: Basic GUI is tiny. They could package both easily.

Day 2

My torture contines. My dealer, CCP, continues to cut the product with something strange that gives me head aches.

Edit 5: One of the evils they perpetuate is selecting everyone in a fleet. End up shuffling whole squads when trying to move one person. (They actually fixed this)

This post needs front page recognition - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5291912#post5291912

Edit 6: The > arrows are not highlighted in fleet so you mess about trying to find the wing and squad you are in

Day 3

I have resorted to desperate measures. I got out my digital crayon and fired up the old printer. I have now stuck my own version of the Neocom down the side of my screen. It is far from perfect but the difference is immediate.

I am a programmer, not a graphical artist. I have a solution in 2 hours and CCP have had three days.

Varren Dar'khel wrote:
You have dropped the ball CCP, the new UI is unplayable. I have only logged on once since rhea, and I won't bother logging in again until you restore the old icons and sliders. (As an opt-in choice, at the very least)

You have repeatedly screwed me as a player personally, I can not enjoy customizing my character, you broke that. You butchered the Armageddon, T3 cruisers might as well not exist for Amarr and Minmatar because you refuse to fix them. You consistently fail to iterate on promised features like Sovereignty and Modular POS's. Missile's are still functionally useless for PvP except in rare and specific use-cases.

You choose to update visual assets over broken Mechanics. You "fixed" a non broken UI, and thus rendered it useless for me.

Not to mention the utter waste of man-hours the you call Dust514 being console exclusive, and thus screwing over the people who play on the platform that built your company. Only after it failing miserably (compared to expectations) did you consider a PC release, which apparently is the same game but isn't at the same time, and we know nothing about it beyond that.

And unless Valkyrie is built into the EVE client and made playable by EVE characters, I don't care to have anything to do with it either.

I believe you no longer have any respect or loyalty to the the players who made CCP and EVE Online what it is today.

Add to that the number of employees that have fled CCP, seemingly like rats fleeing a sinking ship. I believe you no longer have a coherent vision for EVE, and I believe your own devs can see it too.

So yeah can I get my freaking UI back at least?

Day 4

I find that a bit of fiction has been locked as a rant, even though it is something more akin to this.

I have not attempted to log into EVE yet. I am gathering my strength and patience before I leap in.
Just spent far too long trying to do a quick job. *Closes eyes and pinches bridge of nose.*

Day 5

I have started weeping randomly and uncontrollably. My friends move their space ships a little further away from me now so I don't hear their crying or because they feel awkward and powerless to help.
This piece of paper is running out of space and the moss I used as an ink is also my food. Such tough decisions!

Day 6

My dentist will be getting rich from replacing the teeth I grind down and shatter.

Day 7

I am lost for words to describe my constant level of vexation. I need a massage.

Day 8

Maybe I can use this ghastly, very bugged EVE gate to send some mails and delay logging into the game as long as possible.

Day 9

All the ships are brown and space is grey, I went for a warp on a winters day ...

Day 10

For some reason the tabs are brighter, blink faster and the contrast is better in Linux. I am wondering if I can make an overlay to the GUI, where it will look different but I can just click through it.

Day 11

This drags in space often meaning flying into space is getting annoying. When will the torture end?

Day 12

Get used to it you will, said they. Used to it, becoming I am not.

Day 13

Approaching Christmas and I am staring at this bland, horrid GUI. How depressing. What?

Day ?

This seems endless. I am running out of space. I have found another wall to scribble my unheard protests and pleas upon - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5338754

The interface is less responsive to inputs and more prone to any clicks in space.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

All those new icons are really really hard to see. They need colors!

Also I want Orbit station back even though that was removed years ago.

I just noticed, on the testserver there was a UI-Theme called Hologram which I really liked. To bad it didn´t make it to the final version...

So thanks CCP for that hard work.
I didnt talk about good things, lot of other capsuleers will do it.

I think some ships, like Guristas, Angel Cartel, and some Amarrian.. Theyr color seems to be mixed with cream.

Good bye the beautyfull dark earth camo ov Guristas and Hello coffee cup with milk.
I'm using more ship for the design than theyr ability, and I guess I will stop to use my loving Rattle and Gila.

In general, the improvment ov graphic is really good. But yep, someone let fall in the white paint..

Just one question. Is there no search function on the new map? **answered below - thanks**

Great work btw - looks stunning. Even my space potato.

Ed - That Apocalypse....damn damn damn that thing looks fine. Amarr ships in general actually.
