I like it. I've always wanted to buy out a product Empire wide but I don't have the capital for it. It will be interesting to see if people will start placing buy orders at that price.

Exactly I often manipulate the markets, buy all for sale and resell at a profit, in the high turnover markets you can do this for a number of hours at the most, In Jita its minutes, in the lower end smaller hubs you can do it for weeks - but as there is very little or no control on the supply , and owning one supply chain is almost impossible in Eve, then it is a very risky game. I can make a few 100 mill a day in a certain station as the local supplier of one commodity every day puts his output on the market for 730 isk, per unit every day I buy his total stock and resell at 2000isk per unit - its in a station where his product is in pretty high demand. ATM he makes isk and I make isk, it only takes one other entrant to the local market and sell at a price below mine, but above where it is worth me buying and reselling for our little bubble to collapse.

Manipulating the markets is not for the short of funds, because someone will catch on and undercut you eventually and when they do you will be sat on a load of stuff you cant shift locally.. it is a high risk high return game play, you can make money at it, but you have to sit and watch the market for hours a day to make it work-

You can only ever totally manipulate the market if you control the whole supply chain- and in Eve that's virtually impossible

All this of course excluding the possibility that he knows something we don't which, in eve, is as likely as anything else.
