so with somewhat of a buff due today where do you see the hybrid boats going - in particular the faction versions?

Is there enough of a change to increase their use?

will the tier 3 BC null any possible market movement for these ships?

staying the same?

Most market price movement is due to psychological reasons as opposed to actual changes in demand and supply. Blame market speculation (for a real life instance of psychology affecting the market: look at how Brazil changed from cruizeros to reals).

Anyways, the market for ships is a rather large market, and thus unlikely to be affected significantly by demand in this situation. Unless, of course, the change is radical enough to unseat winmatar ships as the champions of pvp.

true about their being psychological influence for pre-/post-release flux, although unlike the cruizeros -> reals situation, it is not literally 100% psychological, as "math" is an influential factor behind the scenes for each individual ship.

Realistically, many hybrid boats were substantially improved because hybrid weapons were improved substantially... Like you say; not sure that Minmatar ships are going to lose much value, but that's not to say caldari/gallente won't see an increase - not necessarily across the board, since some definitely benefit more than others when compared to their opposing faction peers - but at least in the short term, while new fittings are tested, and thus new ships purchased they may. I'm not a market guru or anything, but so far, it seems that i've made some good investments.
