My first null-sec recon!

Today for the first time I was flying in null-sec extensively using this alt to see what the hell is going on there. My journey was in fact "free of charge" because this alt has basically no skills trained and he flown free rocky ship. So my impressions are as follows:

- null-sec is very sparsely populated, most systems are empty or occupied by several people at most

- I was podded several times because quite frequently stargates are bubble-camped. If I had flown more null-sec suited ship I would have been able to escape but of course in Velator I was doomed. Anyway those gate-camps weren't large. Simply one or two guys were passively camping gate with previously deployed bubble.

- I also met number of explorers in cov-op ships because core probes were detected by my D-scan

- unfortunately I did not meet any large fleets fighting over null-sec control

All in all I am a bit disappointed. I thought null-sec was more dynamic place than it turned out to be.

I have tried Syndicate/Outer Ring/Cloud Ring because those three regions are closest to my alt's home system.

Use the star map if you seek action in null.

People are too scared to go to nullsec, yourself included if you would only take a velator there.

You really expected to find sov wars by flying through some random systems in some backwater region? Like as if there where large fleets fighting over every system 24/7 constantly?

May I please inquire as to where you obtained a rocky ship? Sounds pretty cool. Or are you referring to Rocky's ship? If that is the case may I ask who Rocky is?

Really though, awesome for you to take the initiative and go out there looking. And yeah, 0.0 space is really boring.

Want some action in Null? Run the Angel Sound Epic Arc in a T1 frig (Tristan recommended).

I'm my own NPC alt.

Would recommend too. Although I dunno if that counts as action or not, but it's some nice test of waters when it comes to doing stuff in null.

Funny enough, people tend to recommend Angel arc while leaving out Guristas one, and I didn't get to try it too. I wonder what's the deal here.

What were you expecting? Mining ops usually have scouts and they dock up before you even jump into there system. Large fleets scout each other and as a solo pilot you need to 'Stir Up' content.

Nullsec is what you make it, so make it fun!

P.S If you want to explore null get a Interceptor. They are immune to bubbles and are fast enough to escape gate camps.
