Mobile PI Siphons?? Twisted

I was thinking more like Click Planet > Search for PI Buildings > Lock Target> Load OB Ammo > Fire > BOOM! > Collect KM > Wait for Tears

Yeah but before you do that, steal all their stuff first. Gotta pay for the ammo you're about to use ya know. Blink

It never ceases to amaze me how folks start playing our beloved game here. They get immersed in its super-coolness. They become players for life. THEN, they start thinking how they can turn it into the perfect game. They dredge up ideas like EVE is their new apartment, and all they're doing is the decorating.

Welcome to EVE. We're so glad to have you along. One of our favorite things about our digital home here is (regardless of how we complain) we KNOW EVE's devs are the best in the business - hands down, no contest. So, we OLDER players really do like it that the "idea thing" is in their capable hands.

TYVM Have a nice day. Big smile

I don't know, I'm actually not fond of the clone update and death change coming to the game under their capable hands.....

You couldn't mess with existing PI setups unfairly in this way *but* it could be fun to have new systems having a new PI mechanism that does allow for such things along with planetary defences (Titan grade orbital strike laser please :) ). Never quite sure if CCP want Legion to continue existence or not but this would be a good place to include ground based combat too. Planetary control level governs output of PI goods. Valkyrie strikes could be fun against slow orbiting vessels too :D

Here's your first tear, generated by you. You suddenly ran out of POS towers, modules and nanite repair paste.

And, a square checked off on my Carebear Bingo card....

"If you shoot us, you won't get x resource"

Yes we will. Miners get blown up, all the time by CODE, and there are still plenty of ships on the market.
What is so scary about the concept of risk and the idea of having to put in effort? PI is lazy and passive. There should be a way to disrupt it, and a counter against disrupting it.

You disrupt it by hunting the pilot as they come to get their stuff or by taking the POCO and forcing them to use poxy little rockets to export the goods...the counter being to take the POCO yourself (the PI pilot that is) or plan ahead with launches to get your goods along with use cloaky haulers

How did the conversation go from, "weather like effects on planets" to "NUKE EM!"

Or right Eve is a military economy.

As someone who enjoys science fiction, I just wish eve had more scenic content, not just in space but planets. Take a look at Space Engine ( not to be confused with Space Engineers), some really cool effects in that game, including northern lights, night and day cycles and procedurally generated terrain and water.

Pi can be improved with direct X 11.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

I did genuinly build my manufacturing installation on a lovely bay on a temperate planet so my factories would have a nice view. If only I got an output bonus for having happy workers....

Unless you propose a meaningfull idea to have it there, other than "it looks pretty" and "it will be good for immersion", it will be shunned by CCP Devs.

I don't think it will remove some problems with PI, like: repetitivnes, lack of competition between players on planet, lack of workforce factor and population on planet.

nah, I much prefer the option of downloading into a dust clone and watching the world burn as a result of my superb shooting.

Immersion is always the best reason.

The whole point of an mmo in an alternate world is immersion.

It's much easier to watch the world burn from orbit and you'd also get a lovely sunrise turning the sky blood red from all the pollutants swirling around in it too...
