Your error is in the stacking penalties.

You have rounded them to the nearest 0.1% but they are actually not precisely what you said. The stacking penalties are exactly equal to e^-(x/2.67)^2 for the x+1'th module penalty.

Edit: Correction. 2.67 should be 8/3.

Equip the ship, undock and punch it and see how fast you can get your ship to fly.

Theoretically you can never reach the maximum in game by accelerating up to it. You would just get extremely close.

To fly at the MWD max speed you would need to somehow be already going faster than MWD max and decelerate down to it.

you can give yor mwd a cycle of overheat and on the next cycle you will go at full speed

Sit inside a POS, Change the force field password. I've just gone faster than a MWD.

Or more accurately: e^-(x/(2+(2/3))^2, because 2.67 is 2+2/3 rounded to the nearest hundredth.Cool

32-bit ulp(ship mass + MWD mass) ~ 0.125 so your error is about the expected magnitude.
