EVE API

* The Jumps API no longer shows jumps into wormhole space.

Where the **** did this come from? No feedback requested. First anyone has seen of it.

It doesn't make sense to have no jumps but keep any other API info about a WH system.

Either keep the jumps in the API or remove NPC/Ship/Pod kills as well.

The magical counter either knows about the system or it doesn't. You can't have half and half.

Thanks but still confused, in market they list small, medium and standard towers. No large listed? (Always heard of standard ones being called by players a 'large pos' but if that's what you mean you are saying the two different towers are the same one)?

Been asked quite a few times now, Devs answer many questions, but have yet to respond to this one. I for one, would love to see a response to the questions asked about this change.

Where did that come from, and why?
Is it only jumps, or is it everything?
Honestly, I would rather see nothing, as that just makes sense anyway, but as quoted above, if the magic all seeing counter can see anything in there, then it should see it all.

See my answer above. Faction towers are not listed on the markets. Show info on any tower, and you will see the others in the variations tab !! Big smile

Yes I have as that is what I assumed they were talking about - but which is which - in info list see nothing about tier numbers, although i do see a few slight numerical differences... is that the only way to tell? to look at every value and see which is slightly higher?

Have i dreamt it; that someone wrote/said that boosters would not have any side effects in Crucible?! Or has that been taken out?

Launching a warp disrupt probe will give you aggression and prevent you from docking or jumping.

Why ? To make one of the most suicidial ships even harder to fly ? Class of ships that was nerfed three times already by now ?

This change is just dumb. You should rather make it the exact opposite, sphere you launch doesnt prevent you from warping to make dictors more survivable.

Oh and reduce their sig radius.

One of the pos fuel changes was in regards to faction towers - mainly -

"Faction towers will have a 10% fuel use reduction for "tier 1" towers and a 20% fuel use reduction for "tier 2" towers (compared to their standard tower equivalents), taking them to 36/18/9 and 32/16/8 respectively for large/medium/small towers"

I may be missing something very obvious but what is a 'tier 1' tower and what is a 'tier 2' tower exactly?

sansha is tier 1, true sansha is tier 2. for instance.

same with guristas and dread guristas serpentis and shadow... etc

Best Tag line I've seen in ages.... Big smile

To address a couple other issues:

POS towers
sm/med/large (yes large = standard)
Faction towers
Tier 1--------Tier 2
sansha------True sansha
Blood---------Dark Blood
Serpentis----Shadow
Guristas------Dread Guristas
Angel----------Domination
ANYONE who has dealt with towers for more than 5 minutes pretty much knows this in their head, this info is for those who need to buy a clue, send donations to this toon Cool

The change in the Drone Bay req. going up for super carriers even as their space drops and the req for titans going to zero makes complete sense from the MARKET side, this way the changes won't effect supply and demand too drastically

QuestionEVE API STEALTH CHANGE!!
The Jumps API no longer shows jumps into wormhole space.Question

Still waiting for the rationale on this from the Devs... if the banking, contracts, and medical clone systems all work from W-space why can't I keep my intel on Jumps?? (was painful to remove L4 agents locating in W-space, but it washed out as a minor Buff) removing jump intel will certainly end up as a nerf. Evil

Thanks for the clear list even if you felt the need to insult me while being helpful. Yes IF the only way to tell is 'the more exotic named is a higher tier' then it is now clear. Yet pretty lame and not consistent with items showing meta levels in description or having a unique icon like faction and t2 do. So I don't feel stupid and I do thank you for your assistance.

[Previous comment]

Go read the threadnought in the test server.

1) Torp naga sucked. Range was too short, flight time invalidated DPS (other ships can get in several volleys before your first missiles hit). Cruise would have the same issues, but also would need to incur a penalty to match the tracking weakness of the other BCs.

2) top tier caldari ships are rail platforms (merlin, moa, naga, rokh)[/quote]

-Why is it a good thing that the top tier ship of the missile race is a gunboat?
-Why were people expecting range on a torp boat; that's what cruises are for.
-If torp damage is so bad for pvp, explain the bomber, which many people even fly without the bomb launcher.
-If range and getting into it are issues, explain the Talos, which is intended as a facemelting blaster platform.
-Larger missiles have the explosion velocity penalties to match the turret tracking issues when attacking small ships.

I flew the torp Naga on the test server and humiliated a few battleships, i just flew it like a blaster platform, but with racial damage torps.

It's an old test ship that snuck into the list by accident. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain please Smile

Code for this fix actually went in in early 2009, but the stat changes necessary to activate it "fell down the back of the sofa"; we found them again by accident last month and moved them into the Crucible release. We'll keep an eye on this and see where it ends up taking us balance-wise.

It's already the case on TQ that ships with jump portals active can't receive remote assistance. It's not already the case on TQ that this is actually listed on the module. This change fixes that missing information, but doesn't change the functionality. (It's interesting that people are getting outraged by this "nerf", though.)

Any comments why it was felt necessary to change capital production so drastically?

This is sure to put a bump into the odd production pipeline or two....

[Edit]
And thanks for the update

UI windows that are snapped to the Neocom or map panel will now stay put as you dock orundock. Unfortunately the root cause was the ‘Lock windows when pinned’option so that has been removed.

Ugh really? Locking the windows is really the only reason I pin them as otherwise I get way too many accidental drags across the screen. Any chance that rather than just remove stuff that may require a bit of effort to fix (this, camera pan when mouseover locked targets) you instead fix it? Maybe not right now but sometime Soon™?

Theres a few changes I might like, plenty more I'll wait and see how they pan out, this is probaly the first 'breakage' so far for meSad

CCP you have got to be kidding me? It will no longer be possible to lock windows in place when pinned? Well thats a joke. Almost unsubbed. Admittedly im a bit anal about my window layout but in all honesty accidently dragging windows over the screen is going to make me rage my ******* **** off. For real.

Unfix what you think you fixed and return that immediately. I had absolutely NON of the problems you say you have fixed there....

EDIT - Ok i see you say that you are working on it, PLEASE make sure you are working on it because the UI layout has been getting a kick in the teeth (or two) for the last couple of expansions to accommodate some 'feature'.

"Station services window again shows the owner of the station."

Does this mean the station window will now have a completely useless logo like on SISI taking up most of the space that would (and currently is) used to show ships in my hanger? Another clown move guys.

On TQ i can see 4 rows of times or ships in my hanger, on SISI can see 1.5. This change is almost as bad as the removal of fixed windows if this is indeed the big assed pointless logos im thinking of.
