It is with heavy heart but strong resolution that I must bid farewell spacebros and fellow acolytes of bob. For the past few months I have been slammed in the back and face with life ranging from health to money issues. Through it all I tried to keep up with eve, tried to stay connected, but I have realized that I can no longer do it.

I am finally in a position in my life where I am stable with a good job and people who care about me. And I hate to say it, but I can no afford any distractions that could lead me away from stability and prosperity. Eve online is a huge time sink especially for a wormholer. Each and every day I have had to make the choice between gaming, and work. Each and every day I have sacrificed more of my work for gaming. I realized that I can not do this again. I finally have a good, stable job that I can count on being there tomorrow. One that will not **** me around and cut my benefits suddenly or push me out of the door for no reason. I have to make this the primary focus of my life. In other words, it is time for me to grow up and put my big boy pants on.

Don't get me wrong, eve online has been a wild ride since late 2009 and has kept me entertained for many many years. I watched entire empires rise and fall from behind the curtain of wormholes. The original NC, Test, white noise, IT Alliance, and many more. All the while behind the curtain killing more ships in the name of bob than many reading this can claim. I flew a moros in the defense of Rage against Noho, W-Space, and Aharm. I helped defend the homes and tore down the homes of several other entities. Sometimes we were successful, sometimes not. Either way I had fun doing it.

But all of that must unfortunately come to an end. After many weeks of thought and deliberation I have finally decided to quit the game I love in favor of the betterment of my life. I have enjoyed each and every moment I have spent with you people, the denizens of wormhole space and I look forward to reading about your exploits in the future. I wish you all good health and happy hunting. Thank you for 5 great years of entertainment, adrenaline, and joy. Wormhole nation, you people are the best.

Fly Dangerously
My bob be with you.

If you think that "good job" and "people" will somehow bring you happiness, you're setting yourself up for a real disappointment.

As opposed to a low paying part time job and people who did not give 2 ***** whether I woke up the next morning, I would say it is a MASSIVE improvement.

Good luck! This game can be hard to balance with real life, both are capable of being quite unforgiving. Do your best to stay healthy, and when you dream of spaceships at least you will wake up smiling. Big smile
