[Rhea] The Confessor (T3 Destroyer #1)

Hmm, no secondary skill requirement, just amarr destroyer V (which is admittedly a skill most people who didn't get it in the skill split are unlikely to have). Is this the start of a change in how you view the skill tree, lowering the barrier of entry to T2 and T3 ships?

They said there was a skill for it... maybe it's not in the reqs yet...

well really T3 shouldn't need any lv5 skills .. since they aren't specialist ships that being T2 and all

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

Slot layout for Confessor shows for me as 7/3/5 with 6 gun slots in the fitting window as well on the data sheet from the market. Of those only 5 seems to fire while firing them as a whole group of six. The ship hull does display 7 hardpoints in total.

If the ship is supposed to feature 6 guns, i'd like to see two on each side of the front part and 4 on top/bottom of the main body for a better visual impression. Likewise, if only 5 guns are planned, an even gun distribution on the ship's body is highly welcome.

Other than that the ship looks mighty cool, very Ammarian and has nice high-tech feel to it. I feel that the speed configuration is not as impressive/distinctive as the sniper one, though.

    The hull displays 8 hardpoint slots - 4 on the front rail and 4 more around the body. If you want to evenly distribute them, the front rail uses sots 3,4 and 5. The forth fail slot is inaccessible.

    So how about the modes? Is there gonna be a cool down for swapping them? I ran into a bug, where the (already swapping) message appeared after the animation was long done aster my first speed>sniper swap. That is a bug compared to the current no cooldown swapping, OFC.

    P.S. The animations are pretty damn neat, although i'm not sure what the box that protrudes from the back in speed mode is supposed to be.

    Yes, there's a skill for it but unlike other T2 and T3 skills, the only requirement for training that skill is Amarr Destroyer V.

    Is there going to be an option in the fitting window to change stance and see effects?

    or be able to change stance in station?

    Loving the styling to this ship, i think the attributes are well balanced aswell.

    1 Question, is the resistance profile bugged or is that the intended level? (since the mode has a bug i thought id just ask to clarify)
    The T3 cruisers gain full T2 resistances but these seem to have only a 50% primary buff and 25% secondary buff to resistance trait.

    The Art Team have really outdone themselves. Cant wait to see what those geniuses come up with for the other races.

    I think they have this right. It does require lvl 5 Destroyer but does not need any support lvl 5 skills.
    This follows the same line as the T3 cruisers, their only difference is you need the subsystem skills aswell by that's part of the "strategic" requirement.

    Personally i think they need to raise the timer that is there to swap between modes and add a skill that reduces that time, i believe the current skill requirements to fly this ship to perfection (skill wise) as being too low.

    True, totally missed the 4th slot on the front. Still, it would be pretty neat if the gun slots were chosen in a way that the guns would assume a symmetrical position on their own without the need of further fiddling while filling the gun row up from left to the right in the fitting window.



    An idea to "pimp up" the visuals for the speed mode a little bit: maybe the box that extends from the top back of the ships when engaging this mode could light up in a glow similar to the one of the marauder ship parts? Being some sort of propulsion stabilization field device or similar.

    THESE LOOK LIKE THEY WILL BE HELLA FUN!!!

    can't wait for the minnie one. Tried to make a kiting fit with the confessor and just too slow for my liking. Can't wait to try a brawly fit once modes bonus apply.

    I cannot wait to see this in action. A ship that can probe down prey and take it on.

    I look forward to fleeting up with five or ten of these in highsec mission hubs, all of us probing people down hunting for wartargets, and when someone finds one, scram the mark in the tankier mode while the others fly in in sniper mode.

    Another Issue for you, though it may be already in the works for a fix:

    At least some Acceleration Gates for exploration Combat sites are not flagged for Tactical Destroyers, despite admitting much heavier ships (HACs, Strategic Cruisers, etc.). Specifically, the highsec sites Desolate Site and Guristas Guerilla Grounds for certain do not admit them; those were just the two I've found thus far to test.

    Even though I'm kinda having to close my eyes and pretend on the mode bonuses thus far, this thing seems like it should be a blast to fly!
