Regarding the recent changes to the EULA

Input Automation

Input Automation refers to actions that are commonly also referred to as botting or macroing. This term is used to describe, but is not limited to, the automation of actions which have consequences in the EVE universe.

Input Broadcasting & Input Multiplexing

Input Broadcasting and Input Multiplexing refer to the multiplication of inputs, actions and events to multiple instances of the game.

Can a Dev please just clarify whether Keyboard / Mouse Mapping is still allowed.

A quick example..

I have a Logitech G710+ keyboard and I am able to map multiple keyboard shortcuts to 1 key.

So I have the keyboard shortcuts to overload modules all mapped to 1 key.

- if it's not used to affect multiple clients
- if it's not doing any sort of "timed actions" (macro), but is a simple "press button, send key presses"

Then it should be fine.

I believe the key phrase here is actions that affect "multiple clients" at once.

If overloading all modules is on the same client I believe it is not covered under Input Broadcasting. Not sure about Input Automation though.

I believe any action which maps more than one action to one keypress is considered a macro.
One keypress = one action = not macro.
What you are asking it to do is a series of actions with only one input. = Macro.
Which is different from a basic keymap where one button push = F1 (as an example)

You would do better petitioning it if you want authoritative input though.
But to the best of my knowledge what you are proposing has always been against the EULA, as Macro's are a minor form of bots.

You've been around long enough to know better than to start a new thread for a question that's been answered in the original thread many times.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

It was never allowed and you may be banned for it.

Input Automation remains strictly prohibited, and is policed under our suspension and ban policy.
