Take out the new BCs and this 'expansion' is pretty light. Apocrypha was the best imo.

they best we'e had in 3 years. it fixes nothing balance-wise, but it shows that they are kinda sorta working on it.

PI nerf and FINALLY getting around to fixing a PILE of annoying bugs - thumbs down.

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

PvP's latest  incentive program ** Unified Inventory **  'Cause you gotta kill something after trying to use it

well question is, what exactly can you add to an game without breaking it after Apocrypha ?

If they find the way to add dozen of things, new things and find reason to do so, then ..

But the reason is no longer there, it has been added before, now its time to make it spotless... I guess

Will tomorrow change that...?

This was RMR

Apocrypha is still the expansion that all others are compared to.

Apocrypha and quantum rise are the only ones that gave the pvp anything to cheer for. RmR = lol on all those fixas and patch upgrades. And it did kill the roaming style gangs that were present before caps came into play :/

Ever? No. Far better than the last 4 though.

I'm more interested in the summer expansion because where in winter we are getting sizzle in summer we should be getting steak. Still beats the flacid grey veggies we have been getting.

Crucible is hardly anything I'd call an "expansion". IMO the only new real thing they have added to to game is the tier 3 BC's. So can Crucible be called the best ever expansion ever since it's not really an expansion, F*** no.

About this, rebalancing isn't exactly expansion content.

4 battlecruisers that don't really have a lot to add and some updated graphics, of which some are back from being removed. Not my idea if I hear the word "expansion".
But well Captain's Quarters and PI Minigame clickfests weren't either. I guess I'm just too spoilt or demanding.

I am going to support this. Judge the expansion and our efforts only after you have seen and discovered all the changes and new things. Blindly judging something is rarely a good thing, therefore I would like to point you to the patch notes as first step.

In the end I am pretty sure that you will be excited about all the small and large things we have changed and are going to introduce. Big smile And there are indeed a lot of things!

Crucible has already failed those of us waiting for the lag fix, if a date had been specified in a with a reasonable time period then I would not have an issue with this delay.

Also note that this expansion will make pi less viable and even more soul crushing. Massive buffs to suicide ganking. Nullsec even more tightly controlled by ccp rmt friends. Pos ownership for small entities being massively nerfed including filling up every public manufacturing slot in the game. The good stuff is just sizzle. The bad stuff is really really bad. And all gameplay changes being among the bad.

I don't think Crucible will be the big hit. I really really like the many small things to be improved and some new bling bling tier 3 BCs. The new nebuales are pretty, and really improve the immersion.

However there are still hundreds of annoyences which should be fixed, and I wonder if CCP will go for another big content patch for the summer expansion, leaving the road to make Eve a better game, instead introducing more monocles.

Especially the new player owned custom offices and the fuel blocks for POSs are, well in my opinion, useless.

I lold, it doesn't make fueling POSs much easier, you still have to manufacture those fuel blocks and that introcuces an extra step. Sure you can easily see how many hours the pos will last by the count of fuel blocks in the hanger, I still find the fuel tab in pos management more convenient, as expresses duration in days not in hours only. In addition to that fuel consumption and total maintenance of POSs is increased now that utilization of CPU and PG is always at 100%.

The new custom offices just add additional cost to players doing PI, especially in wormholes. There's not grace period as far as I understand the new system. So, again, some people fighting over things in the non hisec systems, which is already the case, but does it really add to the game? CCP should have sold this by improving the PI UI, which is still painful to use(Ever used the duration slider?).

EDIT:
Apocrypha was a great expansion. Best thing I've seen in years!

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

From my POV Crucible is the best expansion ever (even if it's not on TQ yet). But then, I've only experienced one expansion so far, and I wouldn't even call it an expansion; did nothing for the game.

Leaves only the fresh scent of pine.

It's true, we said that. But a lot of things have happened since that was stated. Hilmar's acknowledgement that we were on the wrong path, the restructuring of the company and the new focus on EVE to name a few. Since then we scrambled and in slightly less than two months we made what's probably the second largest expansion for EVE ever, and it's all about spaceships.

I can't and won't promise anything about what we'll do next, but things have changed big time, we have massive momentum behind us, and I for one am genuinely excited about the future of EVE Smile

that note in the patch notes probably means they did some lag reducing optimizations and they want to see how they perform before they turn on TD. they'll probably turn on TD in two or three weeks. keep your ******* panties on.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

I like this and agree with it. I've been holding off on too much praise until I actually see the expansion, but the way CCP has been dealing with issues lately just isn't the same. Fixing small things 0_o what happened to the old CCP and where did you hide all the bodies?! It seems like there has been a 180 degree change in direction, and I'm more excited than ever to see what this means for the future. Again, trying to hold off on praise until I see tangible results, but I hope this effort continues, I'm loving whats happening so far.

I am pretty sure after this expansion there will be a lot of imbalances. So again what will come next is nerfing this and that. Mostly for PI and for the new ships which are overpowered imho and make other ships useless.

Balance is most important. And its not easy to do that. You can do it only with small steps.
And the next expansion will be a huge step which for sure will inbalance a lot.

And taking back chocolate from players always isnt fun. Not to mention the frustration of Mothership pilots. They will hate this expansion.
