S&I Teams improvement Ideas

Was chatting at Eve Down Under with CCP Rise about this.

Apparently Teams aren't being used enough on Jobs

So here's a couple of Ideas to add to it:
- Increase the number of low level Teams, like the 0.5% and 1.0% Improvement Teams.

- Change the way bids are placed to an option to Auto Bid style where you set a max that you are willing to put in and the bids put in auto bid against each other in increments till there is a winner, have this happen when the team is at final stage of bidding, giving a nerf to the snipping that happens atm.

Was waiting for the flight home and thought of a different solution to the Sniping issue, if the Auction has less than 30min remaining and a bid it made, increase the time remaining to 1hour (Time frames used are just an indicator to the main idea)

Make them player produced through PI and a traded commodity...no more auction. High skill teams will sell well or can be used by the producing player. Teams are active only if used on a POS and are lost if the POS is offlined (treat them like a POS module)

The biggest problem I had with teams, is that when I wanted one, one wasn't available yet. The decision to use a team would affect my decision of what to make. And if I didn't win the auction, then my plans were tossed to the wind. eventually, I decided that teams weren't worth the hassle.

To make them better:
Have a buy out price for a team OR give a notice when you've been overbid.

Either one of these would make it worthwhile to shop for a team. I like the bidding more than the buyout, but that team you're bidding for is unique to all of New Eden. I can't just jump a region over and sample their team market... it's the same one. The hassle of moving all my stuff to where the team resides is more prohibitive than just not using a team at all. And just not producing anything while I wait to win a team ... any team... is also a no-go.

I've been told in the game channels, that notifications of a bid go against some sort of market honor laziness code or something... Seriously, I say again, that Teams are unique. They should be treated as such. I have other options in trying to win a market auction: go to a different region, contracts, forums, contacting a producer/finder directly. None of these work with teams. Either I win the bid, waste entirely more resources than it's worth to follow the team, or it's lost forever.

I'm all about competition in EvE, but currently, it's better to NOT use the teams due to the very chaotic nature of the bidding not being worth stopping production.

A counter idea to that would to have them be an optional material similar to how Meta Modules were previously used in invention
