There are several trusted GalMil pilots that I have never heard speak on coms. As long as you can hear what the FC or people in your fleet/gang say, that's OK with many people.

I almost never talk on comms, all you need to do is listen in order to follow the direction of your Fleet Commander.

The only time I talk is if I'm the scout and passing on intel, other wise I let the senior guys do all the talking.
