So we know the name of the amarr t3 destroyer. But nothing else.

Where is the dev blog? I want stats and mechanics! Winter(rhea) is coming!

I don't like destroyers or the new focus on them. Cruisers make sufficient Frigate killers and at least cost something.

T3 cruiser re-balance -> Battle Cruiser and or Batleships that have logi -> T3 Battle Cruisers & T3 Frigates -> T3 Battle ships -> and maybe forget about destroyers altogether.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Lack of info makes me think they might delay is until next year. I would be sad.

They better not, or someone will belligerently demand all the wasted skill training time in Amarr destroyers back.

'Cause for the moment it looks like a cheap Orthrus that escaped from a chop-shop.

From my understanding, they don't want to release the stats too early, otherwise people will just make fits based on the numbers.


However, I am too, wanting to see the Confessor on the test server so that we can get a feel for it. My only issue with the actual ship is that it, while it bears the Emblem of the Greatest of Empires, its actual design is not of the Amarr - there is too much exposed superstructure for my liking, and needs to have more Art Deco plating.

I guess this is another benefit of being around before they split Destoyer and Battlecruiser skills into their faction lines.

It's on Sisi with placeholder Coercer model and stats.
Also there are three modules for three different modes:

  • Defensive Mode armorHpBonus: 100.0
  • Sniper Mode maxRangeBonus: 100.0
  • Speed Mode velocityBonus: 100.0

* values are percents probably. Take it with grain of salt.

Those new designs all look alike. Somewhat.

It makes me wonder where that originality is gone, that produced all those special hull designs. It was not the only reason I subbed, but these crazy, special designs certainly played an important part in the decision process.

I'm not going to back out right now. Yet. But there's no denying that I'm not happy with the overall direction either.

Remove standings and insurance.

They definitely need more racial flavour. Like the confessor could do with more rounded plating, that goes to deeper to the sides at the front and a beak at the end, or placed armor plates like the Augoror or Abaddon. It looks too delicate for an Amarr ship.

So far the tech 3 destroyers seem to share the fragile & delicate design (if the released Amarr & Caldari designs are anything to go by.
When tech 3 destoyers were just announced (right after the research race event), I ran an ingame publication on it, containing greyscale images of the Caldari & Amarr tech 3 destroyers:
The result of the YC116 Sleeper data research race: Tech 3 destroyers unveiled!

In the greyscale image, you can see the amarr influence better in some of the models. Some of the stances are also more robust then what is probably the 'base' stance (the colored picture)

And to respond to above poster concerning the other Tech 3 destroyers, the research race places determine the order of release:

Amarr first, then Minmatar, followed by Caldari and finally Gallente
