I don't want anything I haven't earned.
Period.

If CCP wants to give us presents on their birthday, that's up to them. Thus far, I've appreciated every anniversary gift we've received. And I liked last year's Christmas thing. That was fun.

Instead of working on "loyalty rewards", I'd rather they turned out a new Mystery Code item with every patch. Even if it were an avatar item. Maybe special Jovian Directorate or Society of Conscious Thought Marshal and Gunner jackets with Rhea? Or an unlimited universal Evolution of Mankind ship skin? Just an idea.

That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right...

Well that's what I'm saying, the freebies they give out on a calendar basis rather than account age basis is cool, if you hang onto them, well that's somewhat of a vet reward.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

I fully agree. When they were offering remaps amongst other stuff I chose remaps on every toon. It was the only thing there that you couldn't just buy anyway.

CCP is rewarding the loyal customers, they are fixing the game.

Available to anyone who happens to join at this very moment in time, potentially a 1 day character, also known as an non-loyal customer.

Something to consider though is the crap they give us at Christmas or randomly on special occasions. Not really loyalty based sadly but kinda fulfils the criteria.

They're a business not a spouse, they don't owe you a thing more than you pay them for.
yet ye get plenty and still ask for more.
and before ye go on about the vet station again, every one says **** they can't follow up on , everyone.
no one has been asking for more sand in the box , a tug boat ,direct control of your ship , ship Painting, better gfx and a better ui than the vets and that shirt effects everyone.

CCP give substantially more of a shirt than any other production studio their size , granted the duck up (regularly) but ye still have it ducking good.

Edit: smartphowend, no htc, I did not mean to say shirt...Or ducking...I never do.

Noone has EVER intended to type "ducking;" ever.

And you seriously misinterpreted by level of botheredness on this subject.

actually reading back on that it comes off as much more wound up and annoyed than id meant it so.

I just thought of this, and the two best things to give vets, imo would be a BPO of an 'anniversary edition' skin. one that the vet has peminatly. Or a special edition ship that you get when you hit 10 years.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

Eve already has a Veteran Loyality program: Skillpoints.

The longer you play, the more you accumulate (as long as you put a skill to train) While there's a limit to train in a specific field, you can broaden your characters abilties greatly, allowing more versatile characters.

Also, CCP often gives stuff around the holidays & their EvE launch date anniversary. That can also count as a veteran program, because the longer you play, the more 'rare' / 'unique' items you get.

I don't see a need for more Vet awards, albeit the idea proposed earlier about a banner saying how many years you've been subscribed does sound neat.

I now have several 100mil+ characters and you reach a point where there isn't any useful thing to train. So that is hardly a vet award.

I presume you mean 100 mill+ sp chars. But at that skillrange, there's plenty to train, unless your chars are not into flying ships ofc.
Myself, I still got tons of stuff to train, as I aim to fly most subcapital ships decently, still a long way to go and I'm at 125 mill+ sp.

But tbh, vet rewards have never been about being useful, only about 'See this special thing? I'm a vet/player/subscriber for X years!' So with that Skillpoints are a Vet loyality program
