Hi all!.
I have a quick query about POCO's.
Basically, I have been doing PI on this planet in Hi-Sec for over a year and finally have a storage facility and a launch pad full of nanites ready for export, yet upon travelling to the POCO (which has a 0% tax rate), I am told that I do not have high enough standing to use it.

I have set the owning corp to good standing but still cannot use it.
I also tried to launch from my CC but it is such a small amount at a time and the cooldown timer is so long it will take about 12 hours to export it all which I am hoping to avoid.

Am I doing something wrong? is there another way that I am missing? I have watched and read a lot about PI and POCO's seem to be the way to go.

I am still in an npc corp so putting up my own POCO is out of the question.

Thank you for your time.

In short it sounds like you have been locked out of that POCO. Owners of POCO's are entitled to set ridiculous taxes and/or lock you out based on THEIR standings to YOU. Your standings to them are irrelevant in this situation.

Your best option is open a convo or send an EVE mail to them explaining that you have set up PI on their planet and would like to have access and a reasonable tax rate. If they are not willing you will have to trash your PI setup on the planet & relocate.

Thank you for the explanation. I will send them an EVE mail and keep my fingers crossed! would be a shame to leave after all this time and expense! ah well such is life in New Eden I guess! Big smile

Even worse is the fact that I was on this planet before they took over the POCO! Evil

One thing you could do in the future (this works best in W-Space, though), is set up something which uses material you get from the planet and just refine/build P2 or P3 in small enough numbers you can harvest it with your CC and still get decent money.

Implement it as a fail-safe in case you're locked out. Remember: The money you pay for launches is just an ISK-sink, so the POCO-holders get zero money if you do this. Helps to up the pressure to get a reasonable rate.

Or just do this to be a ****, I suppose. A small revenge for getting locked out. Pirate

Thanks for the idea! I thought about launching it all from my CC (as I have over a years worth of stuff to export!) but with the cooldown delay it would take me about 12 hours and 13 million ISK to get it all!.
I have EVEmailed the guys and waiting for a response (though I am expecting an exorbitant tax rate if they authorise me!).
For now it is my only option to launch it from my CC.

Thanks again for the help! Big smile

EDIT: well I didn't get a reply but I can now access the POCO....75% Tax rate.... Sad no thanks.
