Somewhere from when I first started playing, I got the impression that microwarp did not work in deadspace (ie most missions), and so I never tried to fit one on a mission ship. Recently I started using a Noctis and it seems the microwarp on it works all the time, on any mission I've done so far, including many with accel gates. I don't turn in the mission before salvaging. These are mostly L3 missions although sometimes I take my BC into L4's for a bit more challenge.

So what's the deal, can I put a microwarp on a mission ship and expect it to work most of the time? Or is there something special about the Noctis?

Now the question is would I want to.

On my arty hurricane probably not, running AB constantly is probably better than pulsing MWD.

Although if using AC I can see where it would be better to get into range fast even if you have to slow down when you engage. Didn't try to fit AC before because with AB it is too slow to chase down all the spead out targets.

Confirming that the MWD/HAM Tengu tears it up in L4 missions against kinetic weak rats.

However gun boats are less effective as even a blaster fit Proteus with a 37.5% tracking bonus will have tracking issues at MWD speeds at times.

That said, an MWD and mobile depot is quite useful for missions with large distances between gates.
