With the new q setup for skills I was hoping that a change can be applied where if you need to add a skill to the q that has skill requirements (other skills trained to x) you can add it to the q as long as the required skills are in the q before it.

This would be extremely helpful

the problem with this is in the code since right now if you have a skill injected then you can train it. And re-writing old code needs to be done slowly or carefully or things break that you didn't even know were tied together. but i'm pretty sure CCP is working on this do to the amount of players asking for it.

Also may want to ask to have this moved to F&I. or just post on one of the threads about this already open

the easy solution, would be to allow any skill to inject, if the perquisite skills are already injected, but not allow training to 1 until all the perquisites are met. it would need a lot of testing certainly, but would not give anyone an unfair advantage.

Although the idea isn't terrible and would even be a reasonable quality of life improvement, I would rather see CCP spend their time on things like re balancing recons and black ops or reworking sov.

Rewriting old code can take a lot of time. Time that could be spent on more pressing things.

If you can queue a skillbook, then you must be able to de-queue a skillbook.

When you are in a pod, you can't do that.

CCP hates making special exceptions in code, as it leads to messy code, and bugs.

Keep it Simple. I think allowing people to inject a skillbook prematurely is a great idea, but it could lead to problems, especially with newbros. They could inject a skillbook, go to train it, become frustrated and realize they just spent a bunch of isk to purchase a book they can't even train yet. It's a potentially expensive mistake.
