Launcher stuck in offline mode

I dont know why but after a 6 month break i come back to a freshly re installed game with a broken launcher, it always gets stuck in offline mode. says "no conection could be made to the content server or something when wrong while loading online content" I have re installed numerous times, and i cant find anywhere on the forums that helps. The game runs with the exefile in the BIN but when theres an update i have to completely re install the game, when i try to just use the installer itself it is unable to get the payload so i do have to install it with the offline payloads. but this gets really annoying for hot fixs and small patches. having to re install a 6gb folder.

Typically when the launcher shows as 'Offline' it means that its connection is being blocked by a security app (firewall, anti-virus etc). Can you try adding launcher.exe to your security apps allowed/exceptions lists and see if that helps.

If you are using a proxy then that too can interfere with the launcher. Disable any proxy use and check to see if Windows has set a proxy use by default. This can be checked by following the instructions below:


  • Open the "Internet Options" from the Windows Control Panel
  • Go to the "Connections" tab and click on the "LAN Settings" button
  • Make sure that only "Automatically detect settings" is checked and all other entry fields are empty.
