Wow after watching that I think I'll stop trying to get a fight from Marmite. Picking on BRAVE compared to that seems hard as hell.

Now you see why once a year seems a good idea Big smile. I'm just wondering:

But the one thing about this that I don't get, is why on earth do you have to reply to every single comment, and in a way that seems like: 1) You're taking everything personally.

Well, there is nothing more to say than i'll do it because i can and because i like to reply to as many as i can.

Evermore Prime wrote:
2) You're in a full power defensive position and won't admit even 1 single mistake, which then makes people attack you even more because you're incapable of taking productive criticism, which then makes people not provide criticism in a productive manner but in an offensive one, creating a vicious circle that only you have the power to break, but...

I can't see any constructive criticisms in this topic except for what 'big miker' said on page 1. Hydra Reloaded are just jealous / butthurt on me / us because we can get tons of PVP action in empire while they aren't good enough to get that.

Evermore Prime wrote:
3) You're enjoying all this negativeness way too much, so you won't break it (by being humble. Humble does NOT equal losing face).

Well, there is no news that i love to troll back if someone is trolling me to begin with. I'll just give them the same medicine back. If you post constructively like you did here, then i will do the same back.

At least you're in a position, after years of skilling and learning the game, to create videos. Also you've learned how to edit videos which is another cool thing. For a lot of people like me who join the game, to be able to do something like this is still in a far away dream.

Anyway, the video is a good production!

Edit: also loved the music :-) and please try to see the good in this message rather than quote the 'bad' and just create more pointless drama, because I didn't mean anything as bad or harmful, but rather I think you should calm down and enjoy the positive side of the aftermatch of your hard work.

Thank you for that. I fully agree with that.

I do have to be honest here and say that i'm not impressed.
Zoomed out fleet pvp without any commentary ( high-sec or nullsec ) isn't exactly very fun to watch.
The few text edits in between don't really complement the shown footage.
The fact that you are the force outnumbering others doesn't make it amazing either.

Editting wise it looks pretty solid. Music fits in to the scale of the battles.
Other than that I do not see many positives. Alot of piloting mistakes, but I guess being in large fleets
piloting doesn't matter much.

I'd way rather see fleet battles in which piloting DOES matter, especially in situations YOU are outnumbered in.
If you can pump a video out like that with decent commentary you'll be getting way more positive feedback.

Your post is giving me constructive criticisms, so i'm gonna give you a constructive post back and say that my video didn't really get what i really wanted it to be because of real life. I had plans on getting in some Kronos footages to, but again, my playtime right now is pretty limited, so i had to skip that for now.

And yes, my Kronos is pretty nicely fitted. So it's gonna be a PVP magnet. But that one have to be for the next video sometime.

Oh about the outnumbering part. We was fighting someone that are at least 2-3 times better than us in that type of PVP fighting as we did in Muvolailen, Jita and New Caldari. RvB are extremely experienced in that type of PVP fights and in that size to. So we can't really complain when we are noobs when it comes to big fights like that.

No one of the MCC group had done such fights in empire before for the most part, so yes, alot of things went wrong and we did something really great to, like in the last fight Big smile. I'm not afraid to show our screw-ups.

I was never at a distance with my Vindicator to have the need to use Null.

Oh also. Look what kind of alliance that is on the 2nd place on top ranked alliances and look who's on the 6th place when it comes to top ranked corporations: https://zkillboard.com/ranks/recent/killers/

That's pretty funny considering that our alliance is a small 220 members alliance and 'EVE Corporation 987654321-POP' is a small 80 man corporation.

We must be doing something seriously right.

I don't understand it NightmareX, you know from experience that:

  • The general public despises highsec "pvp"
  • The general public will not enjoy watching your movie
  • You will get trolled and flamed to no end by posting another movie of you clicking modules in highsec

And yet here you are with a new forum post, defending youself to every poster that says something about the movie

1. And you are talking for the general players who lives in empire?

Oh wait, 98% of all posts in here are from null bears (1 or 2 of them had some valid criticisms though). Again, where does most of EVE's playerbase lives?

Exactly.

2. That's just your opinion.

3. Also just your opinion.

Simply, you don't speak for the players who lives in empire or high sec. It's that simple.

EDIT: The fact that some of you think that it will affect me that someone is trolling me is even funnier. I have been playing EVE and used EVE's forum since 2004, so i know how to handle trolls.

And thanks for the bumps. It lets my video stays on the first page which is a good thing.

I'm not trolling you i just think you're bad at this game. Also for some reason you think Highsec/Empire people don't agree with me (or pretty much everybody in this thread). I think you underestimate them Attention.

But it's always good to see people making videos. I hope you improve and get some good content in the near future Bear

Well, that someone thinks i'm bad at this game is the last thing i'm thinking on. Some few players from 0.0 space are not talking for the general empire PVP players.

Rather bring me alot of players here that does empire PVP on a daily basis and let them speak. Before that happens, you can say whatever you like.

Miker's comment is spot on.

If the viewer doesn't know what is going on and there isn't anything that indicates if you are losing or winning, it will quickly get really boring to watch a large scale fight. All you see is random ships dying but you have no idea what is behind all actions in the fight.

In order to make a large scale fight like that work is to tell the story. Don't just make it a random display of ships exploding. Tell the story about how you as mercs fight someone and what consequences it has. Pull the viewer into the fight so he would feel that it actually matters. And make comments that makes it easy for the viewer to understand what happens. What exactly is the enemy doing and why is your FC calling targets as he does. At some point you warped out and back in again in the first RvB fight. A comment about the tactical decision making would make it so much better.

Im confused, did you just call your own alliance a bunch of high sec noobs, and thus are allowed to outnumber and outship the enemy, and this makes you awesome at pvp?

That seems really hypocritically to me. I dont understand it. Of course I have not watched the video and since I had the most unfortunate experience of sharing the same alliance as you for a short period of time, I can only imagine what is contained and it would be a waste of my life.

However the comments on the forums are definately the best part of your videos!

Well yeah, you are somewhat confused i believe. Because what i said is that even though we for the most part are pretty good at what we are doing (killing stuffs and zKillboard shows that), it doesn't says that we automaticly is as good in every other parts of PVP.

We managed to be a part of the biggest fights the Jita area or maybe even high-sec have ever seen. And even though we all was unsure on how it was going to go (because we have never done such huge fights in empire before), we wasn't afraid and backed out from something like this. So we went into the fight with fleet commanders we didn't even know. Luckily we got a very good and professinal fleet commander to the last fight. And you can see his name in the last fight to.

1st fight against RvB was a win for us. 2nd fight was a big loss for us & 3rd fight was a complete victory for us. So we had a mixed bag of success.

So basicly, we MCC or Marmite are pretty good at small scale PVP (all from 2 to 20 peples in fleet), but we can't really call us good at bigger fleets like we had against RvB as we haven't had enough fights to benchmark us on that field yet.

these threads comments are gold lol, I don't usually crap all over people's video efforts, but this was truly boring to watch... Hitting f1 and orbit doesn't make for an entertaining experience. I'm sure you've seen the quality videos released here and can see the discrepancy in the skill levels? Or maybe you're just doing this as an epic troll? If so, well done.
