It is a feature that will enrich the game play, and the Eve experience. And the best is, those who are not interested, don't have to do it. So I hope, the brute-lovers will allow this time that interested players can enjoy Eve a bit more. Imagine, a majority would decide that Eve should not have violence again, you would miss something, too, right?

If it were also possible to use any combination of charm, wit, or good looks to steal everything in your "private space" people would probably be a lot more supportive of the idea.

Let me point out again, my main reason for wishing for such a private space is socializing and self-expression.

Socializing in a place nobody else can enter.

Self-expression that nobody else will ever see.

This is either impossibly deep philosophy or completely contradictory silliness.

Alvatore,

why do you not want anyone to enter? I prefer to keep it the way i described: that friends or selected people can enter.

Are you sure you read my proposal and understood it? Big smile

There is a quote function. It works like this:

Original author's words will appear here. Yes, you can modify them if you wish.

It's easy. you just click the "quote" button, which will open a message box inside of which you are free to type a total of 5999 characters (including spaces and special characters).

Now that that's out of the way...

If you can't tell, admittedly, I may not have been clear enough, I have no problem with the ability of players to procure their own personal, customizable areas in Eve. I do not, however, approve of those areas locking out everyone who doesn't have permission from the owner. EVERY player should be able to go ANYWHERE in the game that they want to. In real life, if someone WANTS to break into your home, they can and probably will. The same is (rightfully so) true in Eve, and it should not be changed in any way.

Eve isn't an easy game. I've been playing for two years, which would be a decent amount of time in any other game. Two years is far more than enough time to not be considered a noob anymore in most other games, but I'm still an Eve noob which is frustrating as hell. I've thought about quitting the game several times, but I always choose otherwise. If I were to log on one day and find that there are new areas that are impenetrable without first receiving permission from the owners of those areas, I think I would actually stop playing. One of the biggest things that keeps me in this game is that I can go anywhere I want whenever I want to go there, no matter how much of a noob I am, without permission from ANYONE. The day I'm told that I can no longer do this is the day I will cancel my subscription and go give WoW a try to see why people hate it so much.

He didn't say that he doesn't want anyone else to be able to enter. YOU said that YOU don't want anyone else to be able to enter unless you give them your consent.

Yes, exactly, and that means, that people can enter. That no one can enter as he interpreted my proposal, was just not correct, so i had to correct him.

I think, if we add new areas an they are still just the same to everything else in Eve, it wouldn't be that special space I propose. It would be just one more regular space - no privacy, no quietness, nothing. Everyone would come in and do their thing. My house where I live is a bit different: only for my guests. Some electronic devices ensure this. There are no groups of strangers always in my home.

I play Even since nine or ten years. I like many things there. But I also miss a lot there. Eve is the game I want to play, but I also do my best to try my little thing to make Eve better - for those who like my idea. Those who don't like the socializing part, they don't need to do that agent mission that leads to an own, private space as I proposed.

The Station Walk didn't come through, because a majority did not want it. Still, the minority that liked the Station Walk, is not a small minority. It is a vast minority. All those were bitterly disappointed when, after all that waiting, CCP discontinued their exciting idea. This Private Space is now the way, to give them something like the Station Walk. And since the amount of persons is limited, this version of Station Walk is taking much less resources, still, we get what we always wanted. And the technology is there already; we got already our 3D characters that can walk and even sit down. So, let's use it! Let's make a big group of players happy!

First point. You're right, there ARE players who want a private system where they can go and not be bothered. BEHOLD, WORMHOLES!

Second point. Your private system where you can go and not be bothered should not be impervious. People should be able to find and break into your home, and you should in turn be able to adequately defend your home without consequence, provided that you actually put in the time and effort required to do so. BEHOLD, WORMHOLES!

Third point. As I understand it, station walking was not scrapped because of the people who didn't want it, but rather because of programming complications (or what ever) and because of issues of higher importance being shifted to a higher priority. I also heard that the CQ was just a test of sorts to see how their engine would handle the physics of a full, three dimensional, moving human body before the release of D514. Being able to walk on stations is far from essential for Eve, therefore more pressing matters have been taking precedence. The majority agrees with this. Hell, even some of the minority agree with it. To be honest, I think that having full roam of a station would be really cool and I would love to see it, but I would rather see CCP fix actual problems and introduce new, challenging content to keep the players engaged. *Note* "Challenging" as in NOT 100% safe for anyone.

On the other hand, I think that allowing any player to have an area (especially an entire f*king solar system...) that can produce a profit of any kind, that is 100% safe for the owner should AttentionNEVERAttention be created in Eve.

Ccp has enough to implement and fix we don't need to add space houses.
