No problem!

I would go for the latter two and if you decide which of them you like better you go ahead and buy one of them.

Since you have a new ship, it will be empty. So my suggestion here would be you also buy the modules you would use for level 4 missions.
Cruise missile launchers should be your weapon of choice.

Ammo depends on what mission you will be facing.

Now when you have your modules and your ship at your agents location you assemble your ship and open the fitting screen. Then open the item hangar and click and hold the modules and drag them to the middle of the fitting screen.

EVE is so easy now that all modules already "know" what to do how cool is that?

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

RNI or Golem is your best bet, as the Paladin, strong as it is, has issues with it's damage type.

Caldari missions frequently feature Guristas pirates, and those tend to have enormous EM resists, and that happens to the main damage type of the Paladin, rendering it a little ineffective at killing them.

The biggest weakness of Guristas is Kinetic damage, so make sure you're capable of dealing that in spades.

For your ship fit, a Ancillary shield booster is probably a good choice, as it doesn't use any capacitor when it still has cap booster charges loaded, but it takes a long time to reload. It also boosts far more per cycle than a normal shield booster (Dead Space and Officer boosters excluded).

I'd go with the Golem. It's about the same price as the CNR, but with much less fitting hassle. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4450779

Eh, Cruise missile Golems are good but they still feel like a waste of potential. I enjoy torps much more, and fitting still isn't an issue. Still, with the Golem now having the same base bonuses as the RNI plus all of the other bonuses it has go with it if you can afford it. Any fit you would put on the RNI will be even better on the Golem.

Well, the Golem has the issue of being quite slow, or even immobile if you're running Bastion.

Damage application may well be an issue with Torpedoes, but I'll admit I haven't tried a Torpedo Golem before.

Torpedoes don't have all that much range, and you will really want your Rig slots for improved Explosion Radius or Velocity rigs, rather than range rigs, and Guristas enemies do tend to orbit at fairly substantial range, your Torpedoes may not reach.

Also, many missions do not only contain Battleships, even with two painters killing cruiser or smaller enemies is going to take a while as there's no way that Torpedoes do full damage on targets that small and fast.

Cruise Missiles may not do as much damage (but far more than they used to do), range and the ability to hit smaller targets should be quite an advantage for the Cruise Golem over the Torpedo version.

ASB is massive overkill for level 4s and buying/hauling the cap booster charges is a waste of time and ISK. Pick up one of the relatively inexpensive faction or deadspace shield boosters and forget about the ASB. Especially in a Golem, you shouldn't have to pulse it often enough for the capacitor usage to matter.

paladin is rather good for caldari space, While not good vs guristas most of their missions only require you to kill a few ships to complete. The best ship to pair it with imo is the Mach, but a CNR or a Golem should work well too. As some missions like Angels Extra are just painful, and for some missions I just want the speed/agility/warp speed of the mach instead of the paladin.

this is my base paladin fit, can play around with the mids a bit, I usually have a sensor booster and a MJD/MWD in the mids. Also bring a mobile depot and megapulse lasers.
