We are excited and happy to announce the third party developer portal at developers.eveonline.com!

This site offers support to third-party developers that help all of us with their incredible efforts and amazing tools, applications, websites and services. You can find detailed documentation and updates about tools and data for third party development on this site. Additionally you can easily register yourself there to use the EVE Single Sign-On for your application!

CCP FoxFour gives gives us now an overview of the fantastic progress made:

  • The developer license has been published!
  • New payment methods are available to create applications - you can use any of our currently valid real money payment methods and not just credit card (it is a legal requirement to have at least some kind of payment, it is not us being greedy money grabbers).
  • Further CREST documentation and examples are available for both experts and new third party developers alike.

I've been looking forward to this for a long time.. Since it was first announced actually. Congrats on getting the site and the first part of CREST done. I can't wait for the non-public CREST to be finished. Best of luck and God Empress speed!

Okay, now two things are confusing me:

1. The license agreement seems to say there will be no payment required to CCP by third parties to develop stuff for EVE, but the devsite blog says people have to pay CCP just to log in to the site. What's up with that?

2. Why does this silly forum software keep telling me I can't use html in my posts, when I'm not using html, and then delete all my text? And then it works the second time. Sheesh.

Is there a way to request DB fixes or minor changes? Subsection of the forum or something.

I am still speaking for the Oceanus DB but there were minor omissions when it comes to blueprints (blueprints without market groups). I start feeling silly massaging the DB to introduce things which I think should be in there from the beginning on Smile

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.
