Eclipses and Binary Star systems

It could be neat to see a nice fiery eclipse should you be positioned behind a celestial and an occluded star.

Also, for the new regions that open up way way down the road, how about throwing some binary star systems into the mix? Perhaps they could generate effects much like wormhole systems do? On the plus side, having two active light sources (especially if different colors) could produce some spectacular spaceship pron.
