[Video Guide] C5 Solo Thanatos aka The 1O Thanny

Video Guide

My latest adventure consisted of me pushing the limits on how much solo isk you could make in C5 space. Naturally solo running sites with a Thanatos (with it's 3000 dps and impressive tank with flux coils). Here are it's stats:

Lvl IV Stats

Lvl V Stats

Note that this is with my skills, not maxed out. You can easily get another 700 dps with Carrier V, Fighters V, ect...

Off-grid shield resistance boosts required (Shield Harmonizing), neither of the other siege boosts effect the capital booster.
It can only run CORE STRONGHOLDS and CORE GARRISONS

Aggro generation is a bit of a pain, I kept sleepers off my drones by killing off all the cruisers and frigs so I didn't have to worry about them.

I consistantly made 550mil/hr but with more optimization and higher skills 650mil/hr seems very plausible.

WTF, who is this that made the stalker alt? I want to say Jester? But in reality it is prob some buthurt LZHX pilot that can't string a sentence together enough to ever challenge the callouts i do on them.

I am pretty great i will agree with you but if you are going to stalk the **** out of me at least have the decency to get your character a monocle and several sets of designer arms. I feel ashamed even looking at the poor avatar you have created.

Giving carriers access to all those new dronemodules and -skills made them ridiculous and the best rattingships for every purpose, yeah noone saw that coming.

only issue is that unlike with a marauder, you cant fit a mjd and bail out from under points if you get hostiles in system.
as an aside, arent guardians meant to go after fighters something fiercek? they certainly use to.

Its a fun idea, but if the Siege links are required I feel this is inferior to using the solo dread method. Especially because I doubt you are clearing the site within a single siege cycle

I'm guessing that fighters don't have a big enough sig to pull battleship aggro, however since Sleepers like to coordinate fire on the same target, the cruisers and frigs swap to the fighters, and the battleships follow.

So killing the cruisers and frigates will keep the Guardians off your drones.

Fighters will pull guardian aggro even without other smaller sleepers on grid unless its changed since the 1 and only time I solo escalated with a carrier.

With the extra dps it might be less common maybe, when I did it I didn't use DCUs plus before the changes and was there quite a long time (averaged 240 seconds to kill one guardian).

Hmm wonder if the ecm burst does make enough of a difference with fighters getting aggro? I did it without any ewar/offensive mods on the thanny and was having to rep the fighters a LOT.

The ecm burst is to keep the frigs and cruisers off your drones while you kill them at the beginning of the site. Once you've killed all the frigs and cruisers (except the trigger) guardians should rarely swap to the fighters.
