Hi, I started to play less than a week ago and I'm looking for the full detailled chronology of the events of the EVE world.
I found the chronicles on Evelopedia. Are they the official story ? the events described between YC 105 and YC 115 are the events introduced by the EVE expansions or are the results of the players actions ?
Could someone give my advise to what I have to read in which order to make myself a clear idea of the events ?

I have 10 years of events to learn, my brain will explode ^^

Thanks

In general, many of those are 'fictional' events that have been written by CCP's lore gurus. However a lot of those events have had players, CCP actors and NPC entities playing out events in-game. A recent large example of an event was the Battle for Caldari Prime (which extended into DUST 514).

The EVElopedia timeline is a good timeline for lore events. Another interactive timeline also provides more insight.

There isn't any real player event timeline I can think of unless you find ones kept by individual corps or alliances.

Everything you find, push "Show info". Yo ucan read a lot by reading the descriptions of factions, corps, modules, etc.
Also there are 3 EVE novels: The Burning life, Empyrean age, and Templar One. My favorite was Empyrean age, which revolves mainly about the Amarr empire but has scenes in the other empires too. Templar One was also pretty good, but some people go all nuts over suposed lore contradictions. The burning life works as lore source, but the plot didn't make much sense in the end.

Interesting, thanks.
Who are these CCP's lore gurus that you are reffering?
I wish to speak with one of them. Thx.

CCP Ginger, CCP Abraxis, CCP Falcon and CCP Torfi are just a few members of the team that come to mind.

I can't quite see why nobody has linked the actual lore section of the website for you to see- there'a a lot to read about! I really recommend that you read 'The Jovian Wet Grave' and 'Theodicy' (short stories) Smile
