Advice for Ishtar Fit

Hi all,

I've been messing about in EFT, trying to build an Ishtar fit to rat in null sec.
I am not at the level to use this yet, but i'm using it as a guide to train my skills.
What I have so far is this

I will be changing the invul 2's to rat specific.

will that be of any use?
Any advice?

At the moment, the Ishtar gives his full potential as a Sentry snipping platform. You may want to keep some guns for short range engagement if everything goes amiss, but the best solution is to warp-in at 70 or even 100 km and then quietly eradicate everything that tries to burn to you while orbiting the sentries at max (AB) speed, especially if the rats like to shoot missiles at you. In this configuration you can routinely solo juicy 8/10 anomalies like Forsaken Hub in Angel space.

So :
- Drop at least a gun for a drone link augmentor
- Don't forget that all rats have somehow mixed damage so try to keep at least 50% in all resists.
- In the low 1 or 2 Power Diagnostic System will help both your cap and your shield (the 4th DDL is not tremendously efficient anyway)

I'm using this and none of L4s that I got during last week put even a dent in tank. Ok, Smash The Supplier did but that was just for a moment until I realized I can just fly away from my sentries at 80km and still have control over them to melt heavy hitting stuff that was stupid enough to follow me instead burning my sentries.

With my skills this has resists: 61/94/80/84 (em/kin/exp/th) and is cap stable unless you run RR on your drones (which I don't to be honest but v0v). It's not cheap but it should earn itself back in no time in null. Paper DPS is in ranges of 600 - 700 depending on sentries used.

Maybe it will give you some idea about fit you might use.

That's a seriously expensive Ishtar, for that money you could get a pirate battleship that will do missions much faster.

Yes I could but BS is kind of sluggish for my tastes. I mean I fly paladin for null anoms, I had plain t2 mach for L4s for almost a year (before it got warp speed buff and before BS got warp speed nerf in general) and I tried rattler but it sucked tremendous balls (slow warps, slow movement, slow damage with cruises, yuck!).

Besides where should I put shinies I can afford to buy, on my lowsec thrashers? Meh, price tag is so irrelevant for me nowadays that I can just buy whatever is fun and works, not only what is affordable or efficient in terms of ISK/hr (which was never my line of thinking anyway).

And that ishtar is like 1.3b or sth like that so not THAT expensive :)
