hi guys

I am currently working on a small little utility I plan on sharing with the eve community that will hopefully simplify a very mundane task.. my issue is as follows:

When I deploy/install it on my own computers, of course I get tons of security warnings both from my browser and windows itself.

can anyone point me in a direction to help tackle some of those warnings? obviously if every see's all of them they'll be less inclined to try out my program..

thanks

You are using a self-signed SSL certificate from the sounds of it. You need to buy one.

Other than that you have provided less detail than a rock.

that answered my question exactly. will most likely not release it then seeing as buying a certificate would not be worth the money.

Expensive little buggers aren't they? Would be nice if us 3rd party devs had a way to legally and reliably offset the cost of things like SSL certificates.

I checked it out - I can only get as far as "Over Capacity" for every option (even paid). Sad

My app isn't signed either. It does indeed mean that people will get a warning, but so far I haven't heared any complaints that people don't dare to use it. The most important thing is positive user feedback which people are able to read before they download it, preferably from a reliable source such as the EVE forums.

Kind regards,
