uld be absolutly funny if people stopped mining for a month. Entersting to see if Karous Aldurald is right. Perhaps he is...

Just remember, you **** off us miners, and you will eventually be back in your rookie ships wondering wth happened to all those nice ships that was once on the market. I think us miners should go on strike for a month to prove a point 😎

Drill he terriers drill 😎. (Good mining song)

The following was posted by Karous Aldurald.

I laugh myself silly every time I see someone express this sentiment.

Do it. I dare you. Get as many of your fellow "players" as you can, and go on strike. Do it publicly, as publicly as possible.

Then watch as the game rolls on without you anyway.

That's the best part about capitalism. If enough of you quit that it makes an impression on the economy, the shortage will raise costs which will incentivize more people to mine, making up the difference. My gameplay will remain unaffected.

You don't matter.

At least don't copy and paste my sig along with my post. Use quote marks.

Oh, and I still spit my defiance in your collective faces.

Good god OP, learn to forum.

As far as the topic is concerned, it'll never happen. Why? Entitlement. Blink

Just goes to show the average I.Q. of a miner matches that of a McDonalds crew member.

i assume the poster of that post was taking a shot against code. now i dont gank hiseccers for the fun of it but the sad thing is all of you that come to these forums crying about getting ganked are just idiots. I personally like code (and those similar) in the respect that they are doing for this game, what CCP designed it to do, and that is content creation. you can always go to WoW if you want content creation spoonfed to you at month intervals. the thing about sandboxes are that we the players have to go out and make the fun. because ofthem, i personally would be more vigilant about mining in hisec, knowing that at any time a blob of catalysts could be jumping in and gunning for me. it ads a tiny bit of thill. That is why i also like the 'white knights' and anti code people...well those who take up the gauntlet and help create more content for those in hisec, but i despise those who come to the forums whining about it even though that is how the game is meant to be played out. having a miners strike is stupid because you may be able to convice a group of people to do it but there will always be people who do it regardless so the only thing you would be hurting is the pockets of the miners pulled into striking.

thats my 2 cents, at the end of the day, this game is sold as anything goes and HTFU, CCP made it so that no content in the game is inherently 'safe' and that like life, the moment you step out of the station, you put yourself at risk as you are in a universe of continual pvp.

Why do you think I left WoW? Getting turned in to a sheep and watching your toon walk off a cliff with the herd gets old after so many times. I like sand boxes. I like mining. I also belong to GPAA and mine gold. Which funds my eve addiction. Unfortunately I'm not a comedian. The miners strike was more of a joke than anything. Nonetheless, it would be kind of intriguing to see the end result take place.

Actually, OP , I think you should try and organize a mining strike in the game.

If you can actually pull it off, then identifying the bots will become very, very easy.

Oh, and good luck getting the Russians to stop mining......

It sure would be fun, I would prolly make billions during the price spike and crash leaving me with more assets to continue ganking!

Good luck making it happen though Lol

From the perspective of content creation, a widespread high sec miner coordinated collective action like a strike and how that plays out would be an interesting development.

. . . Oh, I just realized I used "high sec miner" and "coordinated collective action" in the same sentence.

Nevermind what I wrote above.

I would love to see this happen. Get a miners union together, then gank any miners that violate the picket line. It would be glorious.

Please, please try to do this. If you're successful, the amount of tears, drama, and fun stories that result will pump the CODE gank fund up wonderfully.

I can see the headlines now.

It'd be an AFK alt picket line while their mains continued to AFK mine. P

Well, it wont happen because there are tons of miners who play the game as a single player game and wouldn't even notice that there is some sort of miner protest and that they should stop mining.

Assuming you could get the miners to just stop mining... what would happen?
Obviously prices for ore would rise. That would mean that the ISK/h mining would suddenly go up and more and more greedy people would start mining again... and then you are basically back where we are now.
