Mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, 28th of October, at 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, October 28th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).

What exactly is being tested?
  • New multi-sell feature
  • Mission tracker
  • General stability and performance of client and server for Phoebe


How to connect to Singularity for this test:

Test steps:

  • Meet in FD-MLJ in the station VII - Moon 2, Intaki Bank Depository
  • Accept missions
  • Sell multiple items on the market (at the same time)
  • Undock (not all at the same time)
  • Jump to X-BV98
  • Align to POS beacon
  • Warp to POS beacon
  • Shoot the control tower
  • Align to Poitot gate
  • Fleet W: Jump to Poitot and setup gate camp
  • Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate
  • Optional: Warp to planet 1 - and get podded by Dev smartbombs


What else should I know?
  • We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
  • Bring many different ships.
  • Standings for Intaki Syndicate will be available through the moveme channel

I'm busy on Thuesday, how about Thurglesday instead?

Nah, don't sweat it, just too good to pass up. On the plus side good luck on he mass test! I'll try to help out if I can and hope you get lots of volunteers. Lol

Damn clocks changing.

I could make it when the test was at 18:00 BST [just]... Now we are back on GMT/UTC 17:00 is when I finish work.
On a really good day, I can make it back and be ready in just under an hour if I prep the night before.

Tomorrow is not going to be one of those days :(

I would love to participate, but my browser is estimating 12 hours for a new client download (and then subsequent SISI patches). Don't you guys think that is a tad excessive?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Just copy over the TQ client to a new folder and then direct it at Sisi

Tried that twice. At some point while downloading, installing and updating the SISI files it crashes. Subsequent launches see it in "install limbo" where the status just alternates between downloading and installing yet does absolutely nothing.

If your TQ copy works then it will work for SiSi. Much faster to copy your existing file with your DL speed.

Just follow the directions to the letter and it will work. I think #3 might be causing your problem: "Delete any .patch and .download files."

Perhaps the most optimistic I have been today. All issues that were in the way should be fine now, we are running through the last of the procedures. Hopefully it should be up in about 10 minutes.

I will deploy the patch now so you can run the launcher and patch up.

They always do that. It lets them compare one test to the others. Don't worry about the need for a POS, they just create whatever is needed on the spot.

I've been trying to get in for about an hour... endless patches, game starts... freezes.

I tried the repair tool. It reports, "An error occurred during the repair"

I have deleted and re-installed the test directory files per instructions., same result.

Frustrated at waste of my time (so far). Any suggestions???

Trying to enter, but last patch is getting a lot of time for downloading.......also, after several trys, downloaded 200Mb patch, and failed to apply it.
