Fullscreen resolution and mouse pointer issue

Hi, I haven't posted in here for a very long time, so I reread the guidelines. All info required is available upon request, but I'll try giving as much as I can here.

I'm running a single copy of Eve on a single machine with a single screen... my 55" Toshiba LED TV.
This TV is not old, it is therefore full HD capable (native 1920x1080).
My PC has Windows 7 installed, and a Nvidia GTX 615 video card with stock drivers (latest, v344 I think).
The card is connected through a HDMI cable to input 1 of the TV.
The Windows resolution is currently set to 1920x1080, all viedos, pics and such never alter the resolution. However the bezel of the TV requires that I run the video card's desktop resizer to have it as 1856xsomething-or-other.

When I launch Eve in fullscreen mode, I do get everything a little small. Because of my distance from the TV, I need to set the resolution to at least 1600x1200, even with my awesome ocular implants (rated 30 Perception IRL, lol)

This is where the issue happens.

In fullscreen, the resolution setting makes the gamescreen set its 0,0 point (top left) to the top left of the monitor, but the size of the gamescreen goes beyond the monitor, which gives me a partial screen to play with. In essence, I have a 1240x1080 res screen for a 1600x1200 res game, not centered.

When this happens, the mousepointer goes to the right and lower from where the actual clickpoint is. You can see the mouse pointer is around 200px to the right and 200px lower than the "Apply" button, but the button is highlighted, as though I'm hovering right above it.

Tried many different ways of fixing this but the only way I've found of actually solving the inconsistency is to set Fixed Window mode to 1200x1080. This mode solves the mouse issue and the gamescreen not being fully displayed... But I lose any real gain in gamescreen real estate, and I can't get many windows up in this tiny screen. Plus... Kinda defeats the purpose of such a wide monitor.

Anyone wanna give it a shot?
