First time reporting a troubleshooting issue...am I doing it right?

All of the sudden I'm having intermittent sound.

For instance, explosions were making sounds but salvage drones are not. Aura tells me warp is activated but my ship doesn't bleep at me when shields are low. I'm only hearing about 15% of what I usually do. What gives?

I've tried poking around the options menu but I didn't change anything before the occurance and haven't since. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same problem exists. Any techies out there help a non-techie?

Recent sound issues here as well that started with one client and now affects all except I don't have sounds for dock/undock, Aura, jumping through gates etc. Tried a few things like running repair, unchecking and rechecking sounds in menu, reinstalling but to no avail.

Would also be interested if anyone has any ideas about a possible fix.


Edit: Also lost scanning, cloaking, weapons firing and shield warning sounds.
