No because it aligns faster and maneuvers better, so you will have a higher chance of actually making it there.

Fair enough, but up to now I've quietly slipped through several low sec systems, and in others have gone straight to the station.

No gate camps, no attack, and in a couple apart from three NPC ships coming for me before I safely docked I was the only ship flying in the system. MInd you, it'll get different the closer I get to B-R5RB and all the -0.n0 systems.
