Pirate Facton Changes

1.Add incursions for more pirate factions.
We all know faction FC's would hate this but it would definatly make things more interesting. To compensate this, make names similar for all races.

2.Add muti-faction incursions such as Sansha vs Blood Raider vs capsuler.
These massive incursions would benefit the game by being longer than normal incursions. With 2+ MOM sights and a larger AO less incursion downtime would occur. Plus incentives could be give to get larger null sec groups to run these incursions.

3.Create the Jove Faction
The purpose of this faction would be to guard and contain null-sec incursions. Almost like a "concord" however the Jove race would NOT be friendly to players. They would spawn randomly through eve null and low sec and in null sec incursions to create new annoms to run. However, these Jove would NOT be as powerful as the real jove ships used by deves and not as powerful as sleepers but close.

4.Shifting pirate territory
IF NPC null sec comes to pass throughout eve and all the pirate factions have territory, have battles between the factions where players can fight to decide which pirate faction should take over the NPC null sec space.

Ok, what would you do to make pirate factions better? Cause they are extremely dull and need a change!

1. CCP has had devs mention before they'd like to do something similar.
2. CCP has stated that getting NPCs to attack each other is problematic at best.
3. F*** no. That's like adding an Abrams tank to the Christian dark ages. As for suggesting less powerful Jove, why would you purposefully make fleets of biplanes when you have vectored thrust jet fighters?
4. That would have to work like faction warfare. I'd seriously consider joining a pirate militia.

HAHAHA Yeah you are right. I agree with you on the rest though. We should push for pirate faction warfare. That would be very cool.

As an incursion FC i would like SOMETHING to change... Maybe a new site or 2 in addition to the current ones, and it would certainly be new if besides sansha say the gurristas also invaded highsec, or the bloods went on a shopping spree... Not a fan of "world's collide level 4 the incursion" though...

But some of the ideas could be cool...

That said i'm also against the Jove being included, they are cool specifically BECAUSE they are never seen and we dont know anything about them...

I dunno. ending the sansha incursions with a live event in whatever hell of a wormhole sansha currently uses as a staging system, with some moderate jove assistance would be cool.

This said, doing that 1-2 of these 6 week expansions before the creation of a new and similar content would also serve to put a real edge on the contests and theory crafting to make the new content farmable, as tons of players would be getting close to their ability to plex.

If dullsec is in such a pickle and a blue donut and soon™ they need to kill each other with 500000000 battleships again because all of their super pilot went asleep for being exhausted.

Make sov = alliance faction warfare!

2. Can´t say something about this don´t know enough for it
3. A strong no Jove are way to powerful to get beaten by our curent technologie
4. Yeah i would love to see anouther faction warefare which you make a bu**load of money without risking much. (Not)

For all the incursion FCs worth the badge, this sort of chance to theorycraft and run new content is the sort of thing we live for too. While it would substantially reduce the ranks of incursion FCs for awhile, as the first couple days/weeks/months while we worked out fittings, comp, anchoring and tags would push out many of the spoonfed FCs who rely on the crutch of the tagging guides and pre-determined comp (x logi for this, x logi for that, this site wants sniper heavy and this one wants moar vindis) to run their subpar fleets, it would give those of us still trying to find another tenth of a percent of improvement a new challenge, and new reasons to fly.

Even if CCP didn't have issues setting up NPCs to attack each other well, these would be hard to create in a compelling arc that would make sense to have spawn at random and repeatedly. It would make a wonderful PvE or PvD(ev) live event though IMO.

So as not to dirty things up with a new thread - I'm going to post here. Ability to sign up with pirate factions needs to be a thing - I don't really like the op's first 3 points, but the last has merit - though restriciting to npc 0.0 shouldn't be the case, consider NPC 0.0 faction territory like empire high sec is for the fw factions, and keep the "faction warfaresque" stuff in low sec.

In my mind I saw it encompassing all of lowsec (including current fw zones.) How one would effect faction change I have no idea, that's what dev's are for - but affecting pirate sov in the system should have no effect on current fw, and instead would effect the npc's that spawn, along with there corresponding DED sites.

Scatter in some pirate outposts, throughout lowsec, accessible only to outlaws (-5 and lower sec,) with limited facilities, ie. an lp store and the market, and incentivize people to go kill stuff. I know at one point you gained lp for pvp kills of enemy militia, not sure if that's still a thing but transfer that over, and give lp for all kills made in lowsec (of players not in your chosen pirate faction) based on the same formula's that way one can't profitably spam kill alts. Could also make it so that the instant you join a pirate faction if you aren't an outlaw already you are made -5, and unable to climb above this unless you drop out of your chosen faction.

-1 for bringing up stupid ideas for the Jove faction. The Jove deserve the attention of several expansions, not some silly **** where they pop up here and there.
