Picture this.
In the top left of the UI there is a small stamp size video feed from Deep Space News Network

The feed is made of a virtual anchor giving the news to the whole universe about what is happening in eve. In the same fashion as real news channel there are ads playing. The ads are made by player corps. Some ads are just bounty lists that showcase the people that are Wanted and where they were last seen.

Players Corporations can make their own ads...(you make a cool youtube video using green screen at how with some friends and make a recruitment video or a declaration of war etc... whatever you like) The videos are uploaded to youtube then submitted as a link to CCP who picks some then sends a bill to the corporation to broadcast these. It removes currency form the game and at the same time coprs are outbidding each other.

The ads are digitized and then streamed to the ingame News Channel.

That channel is there to constantly give news about what is happening, were kills are , where battles are, where ancient sites have been discovered etc. You can really have a crap load of content in there. It is basically what the billboards are showing but with more interactivity form the players.

This is something I would really really like to see as it would give me a better feel of how large eve is and it would give a little interactivity and sorta realism to the game.

The possibilities for what would be on that channel are huge and you would not HAVE to watch it you could just turn it off but it would be there in the UI if you are interested in checking what is happening.

The way this would work is that you would have the anchors talking and you would read CC like you are watching the news muted. The ads from players would have sound and you could also have a lot of the anchors talking be CCP people in cosplay with prerecorded message that look like breaking news about who is fighting who.

I personally like the idea of having corps paying to play ads they would make themselves.

No other game has something like this and I feel it would be a great addition to the game
