And in other countries Pirate parties are already on the decline or disappeared outright. Mostly because of infighting and the general lack of anything resembling a program beyond a very few, very specific issues.

It has probably more to do with a general frustration of traditional politics that gives rise to political outsiders. That does not mean they will last, however.

Kinda like the frustration with the idiocy of the two-party system in the U.S. Famously angry man Lewis Black said it best, something like, "The two-party system is like a bowl of **** looking at itself in the mirror."
