First thing anyone learns upon joining Gal Mil, don't use Villoire xD

I stand corrected, back when I was in Black Rise was when we got a well done sticker for winning the warzone instead of a pile of LP so I'm not surprised that's changed. Also, grr bittervet, back in my day, both ways uphill with WOLFY dropping fighters on you cos that was a thing once upon a time.

Ahem.

There is a lot that goes into piloting in FW successfully.

You need to learn how to set up fastdocks and fastundocks due to the pushout stations you will be using the most (your bookmarks will become a big part of your skillset). You need to learn how to keep up your DSCAN at all times and properly scan down gates, plexes, and other locations to find targets and asses the situation. In addition to these you also will likely need to learn how to get your ships and other gear safely out to whatever location you chose to use as your base of operations. It can be quite a pain for most people to have to fly all the way out to the nearest hub and get into a new ship and then fly all the way back out to where you already are.

Another thing to know, gate camps will happen quite often, some areas are camped far more often then others and it is good to know generally how to avoid them or survive them. The general rule of thumb however is to always try and save your pod if at all possible so that you can save your implants. The general idea is that if you know your gonna lose a ship pick a spot on your overview and start to spam the crap out of warp to until the pod starts to warp off. If you are deep into enemy territory you still might not successfully make it back to your home system before getting podded by yet another gate camp. These things happen and it is nearly unavoidable in certain circumstances.

In addition to these few things I mentioned you need to know about the ability to track a target with various types of ammo you'll be using. With 60m SP I am guessing you might have that already covered though anyway, but your enemy can easily employ various techniques to try and avoid getting hit. They can also use Ancillary Armor Repairer, or Medium Ancillary Shield Boosters in order to bypass any electronic warfare devices (EWAR) and in order to allow them to repair far more damage then they might otherwise be capable of with their ships capacitor. Fitting is a part of the FW game as well, and I am guessing you are going to already have CPU and PG skills maxed out so that will help quite a bit. it's always good to check out what others are using in FW and what dps they can tank as well as what dps they can also put out.

Obviously the ship you pick also will have its own bonuses and this will help aid you in what you want to do. If you don't know what you want to do then hopefully you at least will try to play into the ships bonuses regardless and use them to the best of your ability.

I could go on, but I figured I would throw out some advice in a compressed manner. Frankly one could write an entire guide on faction warfare alone and all that is involved.

Good luck, hope I helped some. Happy hunting!
