Greetings!

I spent few hours to find Proof of Discovery: gas passkey... at least i think i need this item to get to the ...next room? I figured out how to use the probes and i warped to a cosmic signature but i dont know what to do after i warp there. I tried asking for help in the Rookie help chat but nobody answered and google also didnt help much. Little help here pls.

The passkey should be in your inventory. It was given to you by the agent when you accepted the mission. It needs to be in your ships cargo hold for the last mission. If it's not in your inventory, file a petition.

Inventory, meaning your station inventory. You will need to dock up and move it from there to your ship's cargo hold if you don't already have it with you.

Most of the tutorials suck. I'm not saying don't do them, but just keep your expectations realistic. The game doesn't open up until you leave missions and start to do your own thing. And btw that can happen relatively early in your career. For me, I haven't done any serious missioning sice i completed the soe arch. Others I know, never even bothered with the tutorials. Just find some mates who can show you the ropes and you will have a much better experience.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

The problem with the exploration tutorial is that the instructions are embedded in the entry 'flavor' text of the mission, and can not be referred to after the mission has been accepted. Instructions for how to probe down the site, as well as that the key was placed in your station item hangar should be moved from this location and into the mission maintext, after the standard cookie cutter completion requirements.

The flavor text should be just that, flavor. Putting critical information into them is just cruel and goes against general functionality.

Well at least there are tutorial when I started we didn't even had remaps instead we picked, race, ancestry and a job description that gave us attributes ... and this was in character creation ... so yeah I loved that for character creation and lore it gave but I'm not surprised that it was replaced long ago by this current model.
That is getting stuck with full blown cha / int guy for a PvP or pretty much any focused career character -> to the biomass chamber my brave captain !

So the tutorial back then was "would you like to start in space or in station" if you chose "in space" you started literally in space wondering what the heck is going on and your first thing was to wonder how to move around and what were all those items in your screen and finding a stargate and another stargate and getting lost after the 5th or 6th ... Big smile

anyway you might want to give in some feed back on that tutorial stuff I'd reckon since what newbs see in those is vastly different from what I would notice for instance.

The eve community has a large amount of support outside the game. Youtube and google are your friends when it comes to anything eve related.

If you want to learn exploration and probe scanning I'm sure the tutorials are fine but there are a lot of videos out there that will likely be more help. Keep in mind that probe scanning has changed over the years so older videos while still useful could have some outdated information.

FWIW, do do the tutorials. They will introduce you to about 1/2 of the game, but you need to know that 1/2 - it's the foundation.

Do search for and join a corp - join their public chat room before joining the corp and let them know your interests, see if their idea of fun matches yours! You can solo Eve, but it's a lot better played with others!
