Beginning in November, carebears of Eve will unite, and take to the belts with Procurers and Skiffs.
Retrievers, Mackinaws, Hulks and Covetors will be docked up.


We pledge our support to our Freighter brothers, who are dying for us.

We pledge our partnerships with our Industrial brothers, who are seeing their manufacturing falter.

We pledge our appreciation to our Science brothers, who invent and research for months without complaint.

We pledge our allegiance to our Faction Warriors, who bravely fight and die for our nations.

We are the bears of Empire Space.

And we have teeth.

Seriously though ... let me help you out.

This can not work, because it's not possible
to get enough people not to mine.

As soon as - unrealistic as it is - enough people would stop mining
for at least a whole month and assuming that someone would buy up
enough stock to move prices in a meaningfull way ...

... people will start mining, because the prices of minerals go up.

When these go up, people will create alts to mine.


It's a carebear thing to believe that people only do one thing. I guess that comes
from them doing only one thing. When someone says ...

... without us you'd have no ships ...

... I have to wonder if this person works in a unique work position IRL no one else can do.


In any case... it doesn't work this way ... but in a different one.


For tiny 20 billion ISK I can offer a fully working meta ...

They will come, and they will sneer at the bears with upturned chins and furrowed brows.

They will cast dispersion on the bears, and deny that the bears are capable of uniting themselves.

They will laugh, and say that bears will still continue to die.

They will dismiss the notion, yet claim that they were the ones who created it.

They will begin to realize that it is the bears indeed have teeth.

By then, it will be too late.

lol anybody that manages to organise highsec carebears to do anything at all other than whine deserves far better than being a carebear leader.

If I may make a couple suggestions:

It takes much more than a forum post to mobilize the folks you aim to mobilize. Keep in mind that an overwhelming minority of players use the forums. That is a severe disadvantage if you wish to organize an event that has a game-wide impact. You should find additional venue(s) of spreading the word.

Also, consider providing some strong motivation to contribute to your event, since you are effectively asking a large number of players to stop doing what they like to do in Eve. If a miner asks you "why?", how do you answer?

Ah, but I am just a messenger spreading the word. There are no leaders, just a community.

To illicit such a harsh reaction is immensely satisfying.
